Cheese Me Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 If the leicester mercury is right and Gregory, worthington and Pearson are the three in line to take the job then show`s how The profile of the club has dropped! I dnt know how mandaric can go on about saying he will not fail in bringing someone in to this football club who is qualified to take us up, Gregory is a Failure! The only job he has been slightly successful is Aston Villa. Pearson Im sorry but im unconvinced doesnt come across as somebody who is a good motivator and can`t be knowledgeable as a manager because southampton was his first taste of that and very short lived it was. As for Nigel Worthington Why go back? If he wasn`t good enough all that time ago what has changed now? The more and more i think about it now considering the Clown`s weve been linked with so far the only acceptable one`s for me are Davies because of his experience, after that perhaps Lambert is A risk but Since we have such a poor quality of managers to choose from if the last 3 is true I would rather take a gamble on him......... Bit of a sorry affair! Mandaric changing his mind about installing a new manager by tue and now by the end of the week! Were just Losing valuable time to the competition, Our new man has a month to install a new system, confidence in our players, get rid of deadwood, sign players, Just learn about the squad in General! 1 month im sorry people but can`t see us getting automatic promotion this season. Funny enough I was just thinking the same. He was a long way from being my first choice but given the three names being bandied about as a final shortlist I'd take him over them. He's available and would surely jump at the chance.
Phlashman Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 I think it's obvious we're waiting to see what Blackburn leave and see if we can get one of their spares.
teblin Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Its all gone very very quiet! Hopefully that mean the 3 names yesterday were a smoke screen.
He's not bald Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Its all gone very very quiet!Hopefully that mean the 3 names yesterday were a smoke screen. I think we are probably better off not knowing!
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 17 June 2008 Author Posted 17 June 2008 I think it's obvious we're waiting to see what Blackburn leave and see if we can get one of their spares. So people honestly believe that either or both McClaren or Allardyce have decided that whenever which one doesn't get the job they'll plump for the City job. Get real. If we cannot attract either Ince or Ferguson and as some would have it Gregory, what chances does our poorly, inept, badly run club have of attracting a former England manager and a Premiership manager whose last two clubs were top half Prem clubs. Are people that cretinous???
dodododougan Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 milan has made it quite obvious to me that the reason for delay in naming the new manager is because one of the applicants has said to him " i'm in for the Blackburn job but if I don't get then i'd be very interested in your vacancy - Blackburn have said they will announce their new manager at the end of the week

I wouldn't say he's the most likely appointment, but money talks.
purpleronnie Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 I'd bet on Nigel Worthington or John Gregory. Not sure if its been mentioned before but rumour is the delay is to sort out compensation with the Northern Ireland FA.

Then I will ground them in a pestle and mortar (sp) and sprinkle them over a lasagne and subsequently eat the said pubic lasagne.

Seriously though, some people really need a reality check, where's MF when you need him to distribute some abuse to these morons, i'm getting sick a tired of hearing McClarens and Allardyce or infact any high profile linked with our league one club!!!
Ben Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Nothings is for definite with Milan. He is always breaking deadlines he sets himself and makes himself look like an absolute cock by doing so. You were certainly right there!

With our platinum barnets we'd clear any restaraunt.... McClaren, Allardyce, Ince, Grayson.... People clearly dont realise we are not a club associated with a Prem/Championship status anymore. We are Div 3 now, or to be politacally correct League 1, get used to it...

Then I will ground them in a pestle and mortar (sp) and sprinkle them over a lasagne and subsequently eat the said pubic lasagne. I will then force you to drink salty water thereby inducing you to vomit said pubic lasagne. This will then be placed in a smoothie maker, mixed with a little of my wee, blended until smooth and then I'll drank it in one. McClaren at Leicester? Not a chance.

Toby or not Toby Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Because John Gregory turned us down and Mandy has now approched Northern Ireland, in regards to bringing back Nigel Worthington and before he can return he needs to sort out a compensation package to the Irish FA and that will take the rest of the week whereby Worthington will be named Leicester boss possibly on Friday...again! Where has it been said that Gregory has turned us down?
