Reading about Murray being rejected, and it occurred to me that all his success come under Lendl. Wow he should have won far more in my opinion, had he stuck with Lendl in his prime he would have done. It was just his head that lost him a lot of titles which Lendl sorted.

Murray beats Wawrinka in a slugfest, up against Norrie next.

Shades of 16 years ago where Murray beat Henman, fully signifying the changing of the guard at the top of British men's tennis. I expect Norrie to come through similarly.

Raducanu seeing off Serena in what on the face of it looks a easy 6-4 6-0.

Is this a sign of Raducanu finally finding form, or a sign of how far Serena has dropped off?

Most likely the latter

Followed up by destroying Azarenka 6-0 6-2. Azarenka currently ranked a decent 22 in the world and obviously a former number 1. Maybe she is starting to find her form again.

Another good performance, she hasn’t had any consistency so I good run before the US Open would be nice

She will have a lot of points to defend at the US Open so needs to find some.

Followed up by losing as soon as she faces a player in form.

You have to wonder if she will ever capture those heights again as it's looking like a glorious one off right now.

I would say beating the world number 22 and former world number 1 6-0 6-2 is a better indicator of her play than losing narrowly 7-5 6-4 to the world number 7.

What a shock to lose to a player in form lol

She beat a 33 year old and a 40 year old.

As soon as she played a player in her prime, she lost.

Says it all.

She lost to the 7th ranked player in the world, on your own admission in good form, in a fairly even contest looking at the stats. I know she's had a bad year, but even if she does regain her form from a year back she'll still lose matches like this.

Or do you just think she should win every single match she plays?

I don't know,  she went from winning the US open to having an overall losing record. Its very strange and she is getting rid of coaches left right and centre.  I do feel sorry for her because the spotlights on and she can't develop naturally but it seems the media are desperate for her to succeed and she is crazy overrated and overhyped when in reality she is an inconsistent top 50 player at best currently.

And at 19 in the first 18 months of her professional career that level is fine. The women's game in wildly inconsistent anyway. She clearly has the ability, she just has to find a way to put it all together on a more regular basis. If she does, she can right at the top, if she can't, she'll be an average top 50 player who's achieved more than 90% of other players on the tour.

“Drunk”’ women is suing Kyrigos for his comments about her at Wimbledon.

Seems a bit extreme - just a throw away comment wasn’t it ?

Potentially  caused some personal issues in her life since ?

Nobody knew who she was until she made it public. And is she claiming she wasn't drunk, just out of her mind? I'm not sure that's the flex she thinks it is.

How about next time she goes to watch tennis, don't act like a twat, then she won't get booted out.

One of those cases that should never get to trial. Total BS.

As expected no Djokovic at the US open !

It's difficult to feel sorry for him given previous antics but the rule does seem very strict over there. Particularly with boosters and stuff waning over time and lots of people like myself has boosters at the back end of 21.

You don't even need a booster to travel to the US. So that means I can travel without a booster even though my second jab was May 2021. It's pathetic and nothing to do with health.
