acooling08 Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Personally I like the guy but i hear people hate him. i guess he's like marmite- love or hate him. I like him for his top gear, his political views especially!
Durnerz Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Hes quality, love reading his column in the sun on a saturday and his opinions and views on Top Gear, the mans brilliant along with James May.
Simi Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 He's class. One of the few who will still speak up and voice an opinion.
purpleronnie Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 He's a bit of a twat, and his racist remarks are irratating, but apart from that he can be pretty funny.
syston_fox Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Guys a hero! His "World According to Clarkson" books are some of the funniest things Ive ever read!
sdb Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 he's entertaining but a complete cock. and no where near as funny as people make out. it's cool to like him atm but that'll change in a few years thank christ!
The Stig Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Clarkson For Prime Minister One of the few who will still speak up and voice an opinion. Exactly. The world is too politically correct and we are too easily offened now a days. No one can make a joke anymore without being investigated by Ofcom ore something stupid like that. He's a bit of a twat, and his racist remarks are irratating, but apart from that he can be pretty funny. I hate racism. But what has he ever said that's racist. I mean actually racist, not a small joke that is taken out of all proportion.
Cobbo Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 He's a bit of a nobber when you look at the whole picture. Has his funny moment mind you. And loves Brunel which can't be bad.

The Stig Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Well having a joke say at the french is all very well, but its every other week. Its a little boring. Fair enough if you find it boring, but I don't think it's proper racism.
Daggers Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 An absolute self-absorbed cockwand. The other two are far more interesting and witty - his humour is laboured, predictable and so ****ing smug. It's a great show apart from his bits which tire on me quickly...especially the inanity of the two stars in the reasonably priced car. I don't care about them, I don't care about him - shut the **** up Clarkson and go back to racing across a desert in a car made from matchsticks.
MikeyT Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 I must be the only person on the planet who doesnt seem to watch Top Gear as im not in the slightest bit interested in cars. Im happy if it gets me from A to B, which isnt very often, , but ive read a couple of his books "The World According To Clarkson" & "The World According To Clarkson Part 2", both of which had me in stitches, so im in the "He's ok" category.

Jay Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 anyone who can describe that women from Sex in the City as not being attractive and infact looking like a boiled horse gets the thumbs up from me!!
MC Prussian Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 I always liked Clarkson on Top Gear, I watch it occasionally when I get the chance. He's alright, entertaining and funny. Why people call him an arrogant tw*t, I don't know. Basically, Top Gear has set the standards for everybody else and is often copied. Clarkson's one of the reasons why (one of the others being the rather high production value and the ideas they come up with).
billyfox1 Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 anyone who can describe that women from Sex in the City as not being attractive and infact looking like a boiled horse gets the thumbs up from me!! and me. that was hilarious
Phlashman Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 The guy is great until he starts on "Current Affairs" when he's just the biggest twat on the planet.
Vardinhio Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 I was at the national transport awards in London on Tuesday night, Kate Silverton who was on top gear recently presented them. Anyway, so in front of a room full of transportation profesionals she reads a quote Clarkson had told her to say on the night: "Anyone that uses public transport over the age of 26 on a regular basis should consider themselves a failure" Clearly this went down like a led baloon and Silverton realised this and actually appologised at the end. I love top gear and Clarkson makes it work but his arrogance and views are very controversial. I don't for a second believe he means what he says, its a show and therefore he puts one on.
Daggers Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 "Anyone that uses public transport over the age of 26 on a regular basis should consider themselves a failure" That's a Thatcher quote. Sums up the man really. And the woman. And the other woman.
