Ric Flair Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 I don't really want Howard to go unless we get an offer over £1 million. Some people on here just want shut of him at any cost, but that's stupid as he'll score goals in League One and we need that to get out of this league. My only gripe with him is his age and what we paid for him, hence any offer near to what we paid for him would be foolish to turn down. If he stays, i'll not be bothered.
ronnup Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 beautiful mover? Loan deal? Big favour? he's stayin put.
Mark Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 I couldn't stand the sight of him last season but I'll reserve judgement till tonights match to see if he really has slimmed down His body language just shows the wrong signs for me and is only going to be harmful to the new team.

That's my main gripe with Howard, he doesn't look interested. Now, is he just a naturally miserable bastard and infact is happy here, or does he not give a fook and wants out? If it's the latter then he needs to go, if it's the former then as long as we play to his strengths he's as good as we're going to get for this level. I just feel any 7 figure bid for him, given he's 32 should be snaffled.

Toby or not Toby Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Mercury reckon he is in the squad tonight, meaning he wont sign for Norwich today?
Stevosevic Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 beautiful mover?Loan deal? Big favour? he's stayin put. They are signing two strikers. One of which is a big target man, the other is a beautiful mover on loan.
Alexikokopops Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 They are signing two strikers. One of which is a big target man, the other is a beautiful mover on loan. Beat me to it. I think the clue was in the headline "Two more strikers to come - eventually".
Babylon Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Beat me to it. I think the clue was in the headline "Two more strikers to come - eventually". That's way too subtle for some people.
Guest Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 They are signing two strikers. One of which is a big target man, the other is a beautiful mover on loan. Hmm, wonder who that might be
Ric Flair Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Hmm, wonder who that might be Danny Welbeck, possibly.
billyfox1 Posted 29 July 2008 Author Posted 29 July 2008 Hmm, wonder who that might be Jayne Torvill/Christopher Dean
ronnup Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 That's way too subtle for some people. couldn't be arsed reading the link. Is my face red now!

You don't know that for sure, we thought he'd score goals in the championship because of his record with Luton and Derby but that failed to happen often enough. I simply couldn't bear another long period of time with Howard in the team lumbering around. Of course a new regime could have changed him but I'd rather not take the risk and if we get an offer of 500k+ then Milan should get rid IMO. If in fact he stays, I desperately hope he can bag lots of goals for us.
Mark Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 I couldn't stand the sight of him last season but I'll reserve judgement till tonights match to see if he really has slimmed down Ok, I can't reserve judgement anymore. I'd accept a £5 note just to get him off the wage bill so he doesn't have to play, not that Campbell is better but it just pains me to watch him.

Mark Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Is it that he's just shite or can't he be bothered? Both. And his body language bothers me immensely, to the point I'm focusing more on him than the match.
He's not bald Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Both. And his body language bothers me immensely, to the point I'm focusing more on him than the match. I sooooooooo agree,he's always been a donkey but now he look's like a donkey that can't be bothered!Time to say goodbye I think
J.Lisemore Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 says on teletext that Glenn Roeder has revealed he is set to complete a move for a young and not well known striker to partner Arturo Lupoli within the next 48 hours...maybe not so intrested in Howard after all?

If we want to rebuild without him the fine but I wouldn't sell him of cheap - get around £1m then okay.
