I guess the only reason I went 3-5-2 is because I really do not feel we have someone who could play there at the moment. Gilbert looks shaky at right back nevermind left back. Kishishev? No thanks to slow. Dyer? Not a prayer of him defending. Surely a gamble to throw in O'Neill at left back in the first team? I'd be very hesitant to go 3-5-2, but the options aren't great.

Don't quite fancy Kishishev at right back or Gilbert at left back so hopefully we'll be able to get a left back in before the weekend.

Mark Posted 12 August 2008 Posted 12 August 2008 We're desperate but I still wouldn't move Gilbert, don't want to split up the Gilbert/Gradel partnership as they've a good understanding with overlapping and is our main source of attack. Same team as Saturday, and a choice of Kishishev/O'Neill/Berner/Hobbs at left back.

Kick arse line up! Any one of the subs could do a job if called up on, no probs! Not too keen on howard myself, never been a fan, but seems to be working well at the minute, and we need a solid partnership upfront, and the howard/fryatt partnership seems to be working well... Porter has been outstanding pre season, start him! Gradel, well that just goes without saying! Martin played tonight, but didnt have to do anything, so didnt show if he is capable or not under much pressure yet! So im still sticking with Hendo!

Gradel...Oakley.....Porter ............King.................. Howard...Fryatt I think we can play 3 at the back. Play Weso in a defensive midfield role. With Hobbs as sweeper. Could work well. Although i beleive we will sign a LB before saturday now. Im sure one of our CB's can adapt to playing full back though.
