Cal Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Im not going to pick mine up tomorrow, getting them posted. I dont really mind too much what I get now! Currently training for the new John Lewis and loving it
Bryn Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Worrying about GCSEs is pointless, unless you've got really high aspirations. Just get the 5 Cs and you'll be reet.

AoWW Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Good luck to everyone who's getting their results tomorrow. Remember, whatever happens it's not the end of the world. There are always other options - yes, it might not be what you planned, but in the long run it could well turn out to be for the best. Thinking of you all. xx
Steven Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Good Luck everyone, remember there's always an answer even if you don't do as well as you'd hoped it's not the end of the world by any means, I did crap when I took my exams many moons ago now and I've managed to get into Uni twice now so don't stress too much. I'm sure you've all done smashingly well anyway, don't forget to let us all know how you've got on Words of wisdom. I knew a bloke at school who didn't apply, did his A-levels, got his results and phoned various Admissions Tutors in Cambridge and he had a place offered on the first day. Point is there are many ways to get into Higher Education. Second point is make sure you find a way.

Lovejoy Posted 13 August 2008 Author Posted 13 August 2008 Don't worry about the results, just go out and get pissed with everyone from your school/college. Maybe the last time you can.Although seriously, went through this last year for A-Levels, always seem to do better than you think you will, how it seems anyway. You'll be fine. Good luck! Yes, yes, amen to that ! I get my AS results tomorrow. I think i have done really shit. OH WELL, THATS LIFE! If i fook those grades up, i'll probs get an Apprenticeship! Last year I failed 2 of my 4 AS's, but it is possible to recover from that (fingers crossed ). I failed one by 0.33% !
EmLeee Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 I was feeling ok this morning ... As long as the postman did his job properly and got my music exam certificate to Huddersfield I'm laughing ...
Guest Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Get ready for older people to belittle your achievements! "It's easy these days...in my day... etc." So? To all those who get the results they want, well done! To all those who didn't get the results that you want, don't give up. Make sure you get the clearing guides asap (unlike one stupid cow...). You can apply to uni again at a later date. Go travelling, get a job, do something exciting, and then when you're 21 you can apply as a mature student where exam results don't matter as much because you have life experience.
C-man Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Good luck to everyone that's either getting AS or A-level results tomorrow! Personally, I need 3 B's or equivalent to get into the University of Sheffield to do Economics and Management. Should get BBC at the very least which would 99% guarantee my place, so I'm not too nervous at the moment. Watch Facebook around midday tomorrow and see how many statusii change regarding exam results! Anyone out in Leicester tomorrow night in celebration/comiseration? Oh and good luck to those who get theirs the week after for GCSEs!!
Simi Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Good luck to everyone that gets theirs tomorrow, either way I think everyone is on the piss tomorrow.
Flynny Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 If you don't do well I'd be very surprised.May sound a bit strange coming from someone you've never met... but hey that's what I thought to myself when I read your post. Oh wow, cheers. Hopefully I'll be in a state where I've lost most motor function by this time tomorrow.
Samilktray Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 Still not sure if i get mine tomorow or not. So lying in bed until i get a phonecall is the most likely plan of action... if any.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 August 2008 Posted 13 August 2008 A Levels tommorie. Not really that nervous because I don't need any specific grades to get into uni, and I get alot of UCAS points for the course I'm doing there. Hope I do alright though, obviously. Good luck to everyone.
potter3 Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 Not really nervous, nothing I can do to affect them now
