purpleronnie Posted 14 August 2008 Posted 14 August 2008 Congratulations to those who have done well, my Qualifications (I got 4 GCSE C's and Above, and an A Level in economics). They never helped me one bit. Now I get paid $hit loads of dosh to sit in my office in the US surfing ebay & this forum all day.
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Jesus what a f***ing morning.Went to bed at 4am last nite having been out, so I'm f***ing knackered. Get up at 8 to get to college. Get my results. BBC. Bad times, my offer for med school was AAB. At first I was pretty blase about it but got steadily more and more upset as the morning progressed. Kept getting careers advice interviews and stuff, wasn't really listening even though I know I should have done. BUt anyway, came home about 11, really mopey by now, get a call from, Manchester; "Hello, blablabla, we thought your interview was really strong so we'd like to offer you a course change" So I'm sat here thinking it's gonna be bio med at best (which would have been top, but still), or more likely something like waste disposal management or something. Anyway. "We felt your interview was so good that we've decided to accept you onto a 1 year foundation course, upon the completion of which you will be accepted onto the standard 5 year medical course. If you're interested?" Erm. f*** yes! Fair play, I'm at Manchester and most of my mates seem to be medics, you'll have a great time I'm sure, make sure you're in Owens Park, it's the place to be.
Bryn Posted 15 August 2008 Posted 15 August 2008 Today was far... far too mental. I've never felt so drained in my life. Good night out though all in all

Nod.E Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 Not tomorrow but the next day. I know i've passed everything, but I have higher hopes than that. As long as I get my A in maths and B's in everything else i'm happy. Possible I could get A's in English and Science too, though. Well. I did enough revision! If I don't do well, i'll know success doesn't brush with me.
