Asha Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Well if you are going to start the year again at least you get the chance to pick brand new subjects if the last ones didnt sit with you. Yeah definitely, I'll be changing one or two of them. Law for certain, only reason I picked it was because this girl I liked was picking it I was such a stupid kid back then. When I quoted your text I must have taken the wrong bit out In a way though, not knowing many people can work in your favour if you want to pass the year. Less distractions? Absolutely.
AjcW Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Yeah definitely, I'll be changing one or two of them.Law for certain, only reason I picked it was because this girl I liked was picking it I was such a stupid kid back then. ive done that before. I did law... AS level I got a C. A level my unit grades were e,u,u... it just gets harder and harder... believe me wave goodbye to law.
samlcfc Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Exactly, put it down to life experience and go back and pass.Only negative is that I'll be with the year below, away from everyone I know. And cheers, but why does the quote say Father Ted? I did my AS Level year a second time and there quite a few other people that took it again.

Bluefoxtim Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 What the hell is PSHE????!?!?! I remember that. It was first called PSE, then it was PSHE, then by the time I left, it was PSHCE. Personal Social Health and Citizenship Education
AoWW Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 What the hell is PSHE????!?!?! I can tell you're intrigued so I'll put you out of your misery. PSHE (taught in Key Stage 2, eg 7-11) is Personal, social and health education. And it "deals with many real life issues young people face as they grow up. It gives them the knowledge and skills needed to lead healthy and responsible lives as confident individuals and members of society." Citizenship (taught in Key Stage 3 & 4) "gets pupils working together on issues of concern. It gives them the confidence and skills they need to act with others to tackle real problems in society. They do this by researching and debating complex political, moral and social challenges facing society now and in the future." In a nutshell, like.
lavrentis Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 PSE / Citizenship is like Form Time. I remember I had to do a CV but I really couldnt be arsed to do it. Preparation for Working life is the real exam to take.
StanSP Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Most of our PHSE sessions were about Sex or Drugs.
