Daggers Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Nothing to lose putting him on trial - Pearson is a good judge of defenders so if he thinks he can do a job then I guess he still can. Shame we don't have a time machine.

billyfox1 Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 how many more ex derby players are we going to be linked with
JakeShingler Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Decent player in his day. Not hurd much about him lately though.
Tomassi Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 if this is true then its kind of logical considering Mattocks current situation. Powell will be more than happy to sign a 6-12 month contract i would have thought, and despite his age he is still good enough, plus i love his win celebrations ::
The People's Hero Posted 20 August 2008 Posted 20 August 2008 Decent player in his day.Not hurd much about him lately though. How much do you expect to hear about him? You've just heard he's on trial with us. That's more than you hear about most 38 year old footballers. I haven't heard much about Saviola recently, but I wouldn't mind us signing him. I tell you what as well - I'm going to buy some toast in a minute. Really lovely thick bread it is and boy does that place make a mean bit of toast. 90p for three rounds too - that's where the good money is - oh yeah. If they sell twiglets, I might buy a bag and see if I like them yet. Just like I've been doing with gin every now and again. At the last time of trying I didn't like gin and I didn't like twiglets. As for this Powell. I'd rather have Enoch Powell. Him or Enoch Showunmi anyway. Now there's a name. Steve Howard? Fu ck off. Where's the effort there? Pretty run of the mill name if you ask me. Steve. What kind of rapper is called Steve anyway? Enoch Showunmi... now there's a man who could do anything. Anything but play for us evidently. Fuc king powers that be - always ruining my fun, trampling on my dreams and pissing on my bonfire. I loved that bonfire.
