purpleronnie Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 Anyone remember these:- east side beat kenny thomas
Webbo Posted 10 September 2008 Posted 10 September 2008 Anyone remember these:-kenny thomas I remember that one, that was me and the wife's song when we were going out.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 11 September 2008 Posted 11 September 2008 I remember Kenny Thomas making a 'personal appearance' at the big HMV not long after it opened. There was a massive queue of people wanting to meet him. I wasn't one of them
General Smuts Posted 11 September 2008 Posted 11 September 2008 Goldie Looking Chain - Guns Don't Kill People (Rappers Do)
hairy Posted 11 September 2008 Posted 11 September 2008 When I was younger and angry at mummy and daddy I listened to:-compulsion How silly I was! I still listen to them when I am angry at my kids. Full cycle!
Lovejoy Posted 11 September 2008 Posted 11 September 2008 Anyone remember Franz Ferdinand? I apologise if this seems like a strange question, but everyone I ask is like "oh yeah, them" .
Jay Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 Anyone remember Franz Ferdinand? I apologise if this seems like a strange question, but everyone I ask is like "oh yeah, them" . That's what happens when you are constantly bummed by the music press for your average music after a while they all get bored of you
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 Anyone remember Franz Ferdinand? I apologise if this seems like a strange question, but everyone I ask is like "oh yeah, them" . There's a new album on the way - I think they might have made the mistake of staying away a bit too long. I really like them actually, although a lot of people don't. Quite a few have said to me they don't 'get' them, which always confuses me because there doesn't seem to be a lot to get. It's just slightly arty uptempo pop music, isn't it?

Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 This still gets me tingly. Seen them live twice. Anyone remember their (in)famous appearance on TOTP the week before this?
purpleronnie Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 This still gets me tingly. Seen them live twice. Anyone remember their (in)famous appearance on TOTP the week before this? Yes didnt TOTP play the tape of the song but the band couldnt hear it so they just sat there.
Webbo Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 This still gets me tingly. Seen them live twice.Anyone remember their (in)famous appearance on TOTP the week before this? I couldn't stand that at the time. What a foolish youth I must have been.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Yes didnt TOTP play the tape of the song but the band couldnt hear it so they just sat there. Yeah, that's right. I never really understood why they thought having people miming live on television was ever a good idea. It's almost as stupid as when they broadcast Top of the Pops live on Radio One simultaneously. Watching people mime is bad enough, but listening to them mime is even less impressive
