Next Year's Kit Supplier [That isn't Adidas]

My friend works for a graphic design company that do shop designs and layouts - last Friday my friend started working on designs for Adidas for the club shops of Middlesborough and Leicester. He designed a sign saying "The New Leicester Adidas home strip" He says the graphic deadlines for all the work is March so i guess they can be all printed up for June time when we make our return to the championship - my friend does not like football so he did'nt talk about it in too much detail because he was'nt interested but he just mentioned it over the weekend to me!

I know Mandaric has been unhappy with the quality and delays of the Jacko strip and it would suggest he invited offers !!

Good news though in my opinion !!!

THIS THREAD IS QUITE OLD. IF YOU *STILL* HAVEN'T READ IT YET, WE ARE NOT HAVING AN ADIDAS KIT, A PUMA KIT, OR ANYTHING COOL.

I call "Load of crap"... but I WISH it were true... :)

Ill try and get a proof off him - and ill ask him for more details - but Adidas make Peterboroughs and Derby kit so its not unrealistic!!

Watch this space...........!!

No thanks, they're boring.

All the same.

but yea Derbys home kit is a bit rank and it seems with Adidas unless your a top 4 club you get a crappy generic design !!

Yeah, but Addidas signed the deal with Derby when they were a Premiership team and I assumed the Peterborough deal was similar to Southend and Nike kits.

Well Derby signed the deal when they were 3rd in the table in the championship in April 2007 - but i would say the demand for Leicester shirts is just as much as derbys and i would have thought leicester would not command a significant sum of money for the technical sponsorship - all i know is Jacko are crappo and the delays in the 3rd strip are not acceptible for a club trying to make money!!

Its all about the socks.

no doubt adidas kits look better than jako ones, but topps tiles will mean it still looks crap, unless maybe we had the logo in white. that'd look slick. mmm

Excuse me, but Puma and Umbro make much sexier kits.

What are the socks like though?

I'd like this to be true, how ever I carnt see it being true, unless Adidas will be our 125 Year kit makers.

If anypone would like to explain to me why one brand of shirt is "better" than another then I'm all ears?

Do any of them not use the same slave labour sweatshops in India and Bangladesh? :dunno:

I swear someone came on here before the Jako deal was signed claiming exactly the same?

I dont see why Mandy would stop using Jako after so many years as a customer.
