Bert Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 a new midfielder is now a massive priority Why? He's going to be out for as long as his loan was anyway. Get well soon Jimbo.
shen Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 I don't see that it was the club's fault whatever the tackle was like. But if it was malicious and as bad as suggested, he might be justified in sueing the tackler. If there was intent or recklessness I'd have no sympathy with him tackler at all. Whatever, it is another devastating blow to Weso. It's as if the Gods are against him because as soon as he gets into any sort of run, something else happens. It will be a real test of his mental strength to stay positive but I just hope that when he does get fit again, his luck changes for the better and he can finally reach his full potential. I'm afraid his 'full' potential is no longer what it was three-four years ago. If this break doesn't end his career, the next one surely will. I fear he won't ever recover mentally, and his injury record suggests his body isn't up to it either. It's very disappointing, but Weso wouldn't be the first Leicester player to fall by the wayside because of it (Eadie, Morris, Piper, ...)
wirralsimon Posted 22 October 2008 Posted 22 October 2008 It was a bad tackle, but it looked more clumsy than malicious. Certainly didn't look like it was going to have this end result. Simon
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 i think its time weso took a look at returning to australia and started from scratch in the a-league. main reason is that the league is not as physical as the lower english leagues and with a lot less games.he would also still be able to pick up a decent wage for himself and alot of domestic players are making the aussie national team so would put himself into the managers thoughts more. im pretty sure his Leicester career is over so maybe time to come home jimbo and start again. look at a player called Ruben Zadcovich, was a squad player at Notts County for 2 years, returened home to sydney, established himself in the first 11, got a few caps for Australia and now is playing for Derby. all in the space of 2 years. so returning back to Aus does not mean the end of your career. Melbourne will take him, Get well soon Weso. a seasons or two's loan
ACF Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 I agree with the talk about the A-League. After he's recovered, loan him to an A-League sign for a season, build his confidence, bring him back, better player!

Daggers Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 I have been saying he ceased to offer us anything for ages. The lad is too breakable. A shame for him but this shouldn't be a shock to anyone.
ACF Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 It is only the Aussies that like the A-league idea Well im actually english living in Australia but if he came to melbourne victory i'd be rapt

You may well be right although from what I gather the latest tackle would likely have broken anyone's bone. However, three breaks is a significant number in one still so young. And, unfortunately, Weso's combative style means he is always likely to get hurt even were he not a bit brittle. Spirit is always commendable but he's not built to be a hardcase.
bigneville Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 Best of luck in the recovery Jimbo. Think it will be very hard for anyone to recover from 3 breaks. But this lad is a fighter, don't be suprised to see him back in a Leicester shirt just after Christmas.
The People's Hero Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 He won't have a career in football. Should have had more calcium as a kid.
Dr The Singh Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 He won't have a career in football.Should have had more calcium as a kid. Very sad, let's hope he makes a quick recovery!!!
The People's Hero Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 I hope for his sake he just takes the hint and gives up. Persistence is admirable... but to carry on after 3 breaks in about as many years is just stupid.

Stevosevic Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 Will be hard to bounce back from this. Poor lad.
The People's Hero Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 I feel for him, it's time he got a break.
Steven Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 I rate him as a player, he seems to be quite injury prone with the amount of breaks he has had so far in a short space of time. If this carries on it looks like his playing career wont last as long as he would hope. Shame if this was to happen. Hope not, get well soon Jimbo. Pretty much how I feel about it. Get well soon Weso.
coale39 Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 Weso needs to wear this on ta the field in future
Simi Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 May sound harsh, but if we have the chance to get rid, shift him out. It's proven that he can't sustain fitness for a prolonged period and he really won't be much good to us if he's never fit. I rate him as a player, last season he started really well but again he got injured and lost his place.

ousefox Posted 23 October 2008 Posted 23 October 2008 He is one of the most unlucky players ever!! One of my fave players!
