Thanks mate. Looks like there’s quite a few people here in the same boat. It’s only a small services with a McDs, Costa and WHSmiths but there’s a few sofas so might bagsie one of them for the night

Not sure I can walk that far in this snow. Knowing my luck I’d probably die of hypothermia on the way

That’s a good shout but it’s one of those cheap crappy budget hotels with nothing but a reception desk. The hotel is about 400 yards from the services and the snows pretty deep so think I might just stay put.

 

Looks like I’ll be kipping on one of the McDonalds couches. At least it’ll be warm with my free blanket

Bit random but why don’t you post a note under the hotel rooms saying you are stranded and asking them if anyone had a spare bed in their room. Probably add that you definitely aren’t a murderer if that’s true.

I need to travel to hull tomorrow morning from Leics. I usually take a46 / a15 / m180 / a15 but I kept hearing on the traffic alerts today the a15 between lincoln and m180 is “impassable”.... how do I find out online if this is still the case or will be the case in the morning? I don’t want to go up the m1 / m18 route it’s dull as fu ck. but I will go that way if my life is in danger trying the a15 as people lead me to believe it may be. Any advice appreciated.
