Yes I agree about what you say about proof. But all the science we have came from Islam, Christianity and Judaism in ht e past 1000 years. As for religion being the cause of wars as so many people say, that is wrong. The 20th century was the bloodiest ever but none of those wars were started by religion (WW1 WW2 Vietnam Korea Iraq etc). Some leaders pretend they are religious and try to shift the blame.

Not true the 'hindu' vedics were well present in Science, before Islam or christianity beyond a thousand years old. To bring it back on subject, actually I would argue that the hi tech nature of the IDF weaponry has made this less bloody than it might have been. Let's face it, Israel has the capability to raze Gaza to the ground, but it hasn't.

I don't see how war proves the absence of a God? If you imagine God as a man with a beard as we get taught in school I can see why you would think of it as ridiculous. But how you could imagine that our planets just appeared (as did the perfect lifeforms) without any intelligence behind it is beyond me. If someone said to you that your car just appeared out of nowhere without any design you would call them an idiot. And our planets and bodies are a billion times more complex than anything man-made.

I also don't see how it proves the stupidity of man. Most men and women want to live in peace, and do live in peace as brothers and sisters. That is until leaders of people decide to commit atrocities. Then you obviously get reactions. Grief makes men do stupid things. Man has always lived in peace until leaders decide they want more and go to war. Even in Israel Muslim, Jew and Christian were living in peace until other countries decided otherwise (Crusades and WW1 and 2)

Only because they can't yet because of international pressure. I'm sure they want to. USA has the capacity to raze Iraq but they haven't. Only because if they used nuclear weapons again the reaction in their own country would not be what they want.

And I suppose Israel doesn't use these weapons either because the country is so small and they live there too.

As for it being less bloody, I think that is rubbish. There are men, women and children all over Gaza with parts of there bodies blown off. More than 1000 innocents dead but thosands more injured. And not little injuries like hamstring or something. We're talking body parts blown off. And right now they are lying in places not even able to go to a hospital.

I don't know what hi-tech weaponry you are talking about. They are using tanks, artillery, missiles from helicopters, planes and ships. These weapons devastate large areas whoever is in range. Not just fighters

I don't agree with your historical interpretation. Israel has been the most fought over strip of land throughout history. From the Jews, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Romans, Muhammedans, Crusaders, Mamleks, Ottomans, Under the British mandate, Israel, etc. It's the price of being on a strip of land that links 3 continents. As a piece of land, it has only had its independence a few times, primarily under the Jews. In each intervening period, it has always formed some part of an empire, be it Roman, Ottoman, etc. It is only after the British mandate, with the rise in nationalism that swept the globe, that the current conflict has started.

I tend to take the popular view that there are two populations each with a competing claim, so the land must be split into two. I haven't seen a better option than that.
