At the end of Feb can we get him for the rest of the season or is 3 months the maximum? I get confused with the loan system.

I think we can get him for the season...but don't quote me on it.

Maybe we've done it as a loan initially as it goes through fast enough for Saturday, but we're lining up a bid for him to bring him in permanently? Dare to dream :unsure:

If he plays in the next four league matches (assuming we play Huddersfield) and we can take at least 10 points, he'll have contributed to helping us achieve 23 points from the nine league matches he'll have played in.

That's a big contribution, and could be vital at the end of the season.

You make me nervous when you start counting points before we've won em. I remember someone posting something like that at the beginning of October and us quickly following up with three draws and a defeat against Brighton....

Really, really chuffed with this. I had the hump yesterday (& today until about 10 mins ago!) after reading Knowitalls depressing post....I was so adamant he was never coming back. This has made tomorrows line-up so muuch better.

And no, this is not the same thing as buying someone, maybe come to an agreement on paying half his wages, Wolves pay the other half.

Maybe do what Italian clubs do when they co-own players??

I was suggesting this to the Wolves fan I know that I was talking to today, I was asking him what the co-own/share players thing is on Football Manager and saying we could do this with even though we weren't quite sure how it worked.

Anyone know how it works? Both clubs pay half the wage and they player can be passed between both clubs or something? Doubt that would be allowed would it? :dunno:

If wolves go up they will be looking to buy players, which means the current ones in the team will then be replacements... and the current replacements get shipped out. Which hopefully means we can snap him up permanently next year!!!

For now lets hope they can buy someone and we get him on loan for the season.

I know, I haven't been this confident since 2002/2003. I'm not nervous before matches now- I expect us to win. It's not normal.

I know one thing for sure is that at the end of the co-ownership, both teams have to submit bids and whoever bids the highest, gets the player.

They were probably reluctant to give him back to us anyway, which explains the short-term loan.

My guesswork was based on the fact when I asked David Martin if he wanted to stay he said yes. Yet when i asked Mark Davies if he wanted to stay he hummed and said maybe just for another month. Not filling me with great belief he would sign.

Yeah that was wot i thought. Im happy hes here for another month, but im gutted he said he wont stay for the rest of the season, but fair play to him
