Gilbert 5.5 (Marginally better than Saturday because he played both halves but it's like he's been cloned recently and someone's sent us the wrong Gilbert back) Hobbs 5.75 (Rarely under serious pressure defensively but I do wish he'd stop trying to do things that are beyond his abilities) Morrison 6.5 (Two vital clearances and his general contribution to a clean sheet made him the pick of our defence) Berner 5 (Simply had no impact in a generally lethargic team). Oakley 6.5 (Involved in most of our best moves but there weren't many to get excited about). King 7 (The only player we had who made time and space. Looked quite classy most of the time and so nearly won the match with a deflected shot that hit a post). Cleverley 6 (Better in midfield than Saturday and passed the ball reasonably well for a guy still feeling his way in the side). Dyer 5.5 (Three or four runs created two or three chances but it was a meagre return). Fryatt 6 (Skied the chance of the game from 12 yards, missed with a couple of other efforts but was generally well contained) Dickov 2 (Tame header from his one clear chance but otherwise had about as much menace as a teddy bear would as a bouncer). Subs: Mattock 6 (Livened proceeedings marginally and did at least try to get forward in support). Hayles 5 (Lively enough start but carried as much thrust as a limp cock in the end). Pearson 4 (Got very little from his team. Lethargic start and little better second half until, the last 10 minutes. dandannieldanok Posted 28 January 2009 Share Posted 28 January 2009 Martin 7 (Decent saves and tried his best to start attacks on the floor) Gilbert 5.5 (Not too bad, didn't have much to do defensively, we've seen much better from him though) Hobbs 5.5 (So many wayward passes, nice to see him try and keep it on the deck but he hasn't got the ability to do so) Morrison 6.5 (Decent, some crucial interceptions) Berner 6 (Good at his job, contained their minimal threat, would have liked to have seen him move to centre mid) Oakley 5 (Drifted in and out of the game, didn't look up for the physical battle, didn't display any leadership qualities) King 5.5 (Lacklustre, a couple of shots but limited passing range) Cleverley 5 (Very limited in possession, surprised to see he's highly rated at Man Utd on that showing) Dyer 5 (He's lost whatever he had at the start of the season, drifted inside off the wing and subsequently out of the game) Fryatt 5 (Poor touches and a bad miss at the end, at least tried to open the defence up at times) Dickov 3 (Barely a shadow of the player he was 5/6 years ago, nothing to offer at all) Mattock 5.5 (Ok but nowhere near premier league standard if clubs are still bothering with transfer interest) Hayles 6 (Won a few headers, not much time to impact the game) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dyer - 6 Fryatt - 6 Dickov - 4 - I do not think it is entirely down to him that his performance was not good , if he is not playing with a dominant target man, he is not good.
