Daggers Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 ...but we do have a fairly decent midfield, as you say, if we attack you you'll enjoy it, same for us if you rely on midfield alotthe mind games begin in a mourinho/ferguson esque way If you try to play football against us, like Peterborough did, we will rip you to pieces. If you try to out-muscle us - Steve's gonna get 'ya! I only hope your players don't take a drubbing to heart and crumble for the rest of the season. Actually, that's a lie, I do. You seem a decent bloke - go grab a decent side to support and we can be friends

You seem a decent bloke - go grab a decent side to support and we can be friends the match between Steve Howard and Sean O'Hanlon will be an epic battle. We do play football, we also mix it up when its needed and play a couple of long balls, but i reckon this match will be all good and competetive. On our day we can take teams apart with our football, you may of beaten Peterborough 4 - 0, we went to Millwall and won 4 - 0 aswell, it'll be a good game thats for sure.
Corky Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 You may've answered this before, and it's not a dig or anything, but who did you support before the Dons, POTC?
Simi Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 You may've answered this before, and it's not a dig or anything, but who did you support before the Dons, POTC? Sky Sports.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Lacking the common comedy answer of 'you' In all seriousness i didn't really actively go to see many matches before then, i'm only 17, but i did have a couple of trips down to Selhurst. My Dad tried to get me to follow Luton but it just didn't feel right, so when i got an invitation to see WFC there i was quite impressed, needless to say when they came to MK my greed shamelessly came before the morals but i don't care, i love it.
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 against our team filled with injured and unfit players who had had at most a pre season or two under a new manager?we aren't the same side we were back then. and as to the comment, the rest of our team is not weak, but we do have a fairly decent midfield, as you say, if we attack you you'll enjoy it, same for us if you rely on midfield alot the mind games begin in a mourinho/ferguson esque way In response to your team being filled with this and that, injured, unfit, whatever, 8 of your 11 that day started, or were involved in, your last game against Tranmere. What is it that you are trying to suggest? Poor excuses will get you nowhere. As for the new manager argument, 'ditto'.

Poor excuses will get you nowhere. As for the new manager argument, 'ditto'. Looking at the players who aren't playing now though, Keith Andrews went to Blackburn and obviously was completely disinterested, he was a very key player for us, Sturm had a groin strain that kept him out for the rest of the season and now we released him, Swailes hasn't played a match since (i think it was that game he played) due to an achilles problem which has had 2 operations. You had a much more established pre season than us, we had seen 3 games against championship opposition which with the exception of the Watford game we lost convincingly. We had a poor start to the season, very inconsistant but since then have gelled together, are playing better football and getting results more consistantly (apart from our usual bad january) what i am trying to say is we are much better than opening day and shall enjoy a very good match of hopefully fast and high quality football from both sides.

As others have said you seem like a decent bloke, but it's this attitude that all Franchise fans seem to have that annoys me. Anyway, I can't be arsed to get in another argument about this as I'll probably get shouted down straight away.

The team, the fans there and the general aura just feel right to me, could never go anywhere else, and believe me i have toyed with the idea of going to an AFCW match

He doesn't have to apologise for who he supports.
maddog Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 What do players do if they are bursting for a piss during a game They can hardly nip to the changing rooms can they Just thought of that, i bet it happens quite a lot Tennis players can nip to the loo at change of ends, footballers can't I bet some 1 on 1s and clear cut chances are missed because the player needs a piss.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 oddly i've thought that many a time, mainly while i'm sat there needing a piss but waiting till half time so i don't miss anything, last time i went to the toilet during a match i missed two quick fire goals
Lovejoy Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Is this you Lovejoy?Dons Online - Opposition fan interview Yep .
C-man Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 1st v 2nd, just another game? Have a word. I don't understand this 'it's not a big game for us' attitude. Quite frankly, it's bullshit. If we lose, everyone (okay, a lot of people) will be shitting themselves on here saying MK are going to catch us. Of course, it's not of cup final proportions (that's a tad silly to say the least), but I just don't see how a game where we could potentially secure a league title isn't a big game. ''It's worth 3 points just like every other game'' - Yes, but I don't see 4,300 City fans going to Tranmere and I certainly didn't see them at Hartlepool. Big numbers come out (right or wrong) for big games, you can convince yourself otherwise but it's the way football works. LLOYD!

Supports his local team (as 'fake' and 'american' as it is), fair play.

Basically the die hards who go to every away game are trying to dumb down this one because 1st awayers are going to it. And making out other games of the season were the BIGGEST like Scunny, which was only the 17th game of the season. They are also moaning how the atmosphere will be shit, no1 will be standing etc which i think is utter bullshite, im pretty sure the fans who queued at 7am in the extra 800 who i believe are sitting in the opposite corner to the other 3500 fans will be standing and singing all game, trying to out do the 3500

What a load of crap. Considering the amount of money players are paid, I'm sure they're disciplined enough to hold it in for 45 minutes.
RedOnRed Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 I'm pleased to see that there isn't loads of you boycotting the game.

Not if theyve downed water and lucozade at half time. Obviously you can hold it in, but its so annoying when your really bursting for a piss. It must distract them. Thats why Howard and Fryatt are a bit slugglish, they are so full of shit all the time, their constipated

I'm not dumbing this down at all and I attend 90% of away games. 2. The Scunthorpe result was massive. Look at our results since and how we've taken the league as ours. 3. People are entitled to their opinion about what the biggest games are, but saying this is a normal league match is a bit nonce-like really. 4. The extra 800 are in the same area as the 3500, just further to the right of the allocation. 5. Day-trippers do not stand. The atmosphere might be amazing, previous experiences suggest it might not.
