clazkel Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Their fans are quite intimidating, there the only away game ive been where they stand and stare at the buses as you go past. They obviously werent happy with the result tho thats why the area took so long to clear, if you look on youtube a millwall fan has put a video on showing them fighting with the police, bad losers. Or maybe it wasnt the result that wound them up it was the chant 'you're not scary anymore' - Class
Darkzzz_ Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Damn it. I seen Monk as well. If this is Monk on daggers photo, which I am guessing it is? Bugger. At least I know for next time.
AWOL Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Ark at you lot. I have read this thread and never laughed so much in all my life. Coming from someone like Yeovil or Cheltenham you could perhaps kinda understand to a degree, but Leicester City? A club that has a long history of violence itself? A team who's firm remain active today? Sorry but I had to comment on it. A couple of coins were thrown, bit muggy yes...but hardly makes someone SCUM. Scum are nonces, extremist muslims...not excitable kids chucking a penny or two. As for the whole "they just stared at us" business...and what? If a few chaps wanna just look, gesture and sing...who cares? Give me grounds like ours where there's a bit of atmosphere and intimidation over bland shit souless arenas like Leicester, Southampton and any of the other new stadiums going up. It's not a patch on the old Den, but we still make it uncomfortable and intimidating. It's what Millwall is and always will be. For the record the atmosphere Saturday was poor from us, we had more in the ground than we did for Leeds but the Leeds game was immense. Saturday the crowd never really got going. You deserved the win and we were lacking ideas. We're not strong enough for promotion yet and have performed beyond our ability this season.

Racist chants, running battles with police, closing down London Bridge, not leaving the ground for over an hour after the game finished. And you defend your fans? Pathetic. You got outsung, outwitted and the piss ripped from start to finish. SCUM.
CosbehFox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I met Pearson down at the Walkers when I got off the coach but I got a bit starstruck and just said 'Alright'. He said thanks for going to Millwall. He's a big bloke ain't he?

I've never been through a segregated walkway to attend an away match before. Nor have I been kept behind for an hour after an away match. I don't give a toss if they were kids, adults, OAPs, why the hell were they throwing objects on the pitch? Can't take defeat? I just think it's pretty pathetic going to a football match just to offer the away fans and have battles with the Police.

And you defend your fans?Pathetic. You got outsung, outwitted and the piss ripped from start to finish. SCUM. London Bridge is always closed down when a team with a large following is brought down. You're not special in this case. It's just so the police can get away supporters away quickly. I love the way you sing "you're not scary anymore" and then say how you felt threatened and intimidated as you had to walk down the walkway. As for outsung - who the fook cares? Are you aged 12? I guarantee you wear a replica shirt and travel by coach. I've never been through a segregated walkway to attend an away match before. You're a bit obsessed with us aren't you? Sums up your attitude nicely that. Anyway...
Bert Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I never heard racist chanting so cannot comment. Arsene Wenger in disguise here. Although, your fans were so quiet, I'm not surprised you didn't hear it. But the inbreds to the right of the away support were chanting "Town full of pakis"

Bert Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Exactly.Different away from home. James is wetting his alans about it. I think because the fact that Millwall are supposed to have this fantastic aura about your home support has something to do with it, especially when on Saturday it was nowhere near as how it can supposedly get has something to do with it.

Millwall has been DEAD since 2001. I don't know what people expected. Endless chaps on a ban, endless boycotts going on. Our average gate is barely above 8k. Last time when we got out of this Division it was close to 12k. A game against Leicester/Leeds would usually fetch 17,000. We can still turn it on like we did against Leeds, but Saturday it was flat which probs wasn't helped by the performance.
