James. Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Daggers is right. Milwall still attracts a lot of scum to games. Not just your typical run of the mill scum either but violent, racist scum. I wonder if the club will take any action regarding the "town full of pakis" chanting that I heard in the first half. Closing down London Bridge station and escorting us all the way to the tube? What the f**k. That's not normal, it's an embarrassment to the game. Absolutely overjoyed with beating them. And also got a lot of pleasure from out singing them from start to finish. Wankers.
SussexFox Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Just back now thought Leicester were by far the better team, sat in the Millwall end West Stand lower our support looked fcuking class never heard the word cu*t used so often in my life! They were not happy with the goal thought it was offside numerous coins were thrown at the linesman one hit him! Come on city we are going up!
Thracian Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Outstanding result. King's recovery helped as did reverting to a more balanced line-up because, suddenly, we had passing opportunities again and Pearson had clearly made his feelings known after Tranmere because our team turned up and competed. Yes we resorted to cynical, time-wasting professionalism in the last 15 minutes. But for over an hour we carved by far the best and most chances and produced some positive football in challenging circumstances. We didn't run riot but we might well have had four or five goals because we carved excellent openings for Cleverley and Fryatt, Dyer might have had a penalty, Howard scored and Kingy also threatened on two or three occasions. Millwall were largely subdued. They did get some crosses in but only had three real chances, a free header that should have been finished off instead of being directed way over the bar and a couple of angled shots but otherwise City won most things in the air and covered so well that they rarely put four passes together and as Lions their claws looked either well worn or totally retracted. Some sort of finale might have been expected from Millwall during the last quarter but City's spoiling tactics simply didn't allow it to materialise. Yes it was horrible to watch but Millwall barely raised a whimper so the tactics of that closing period worked admirably. Pearson showed his delight withan uppercut punch of the air in front of the City faithful who themselves deserve credit for mostly eclipsing what was an increasingly wound-up Millwall contingent on the right. I'd doubt the coins they threw were more than pennies, reflecting the altogether depressing environment of an area which made even the worst parts of Braunstone look like a tourist destination. Two pubs on the way to the ground were boarded up, the high-rise housing blocks stood like a concrete representations of forlorn hope and then there was the club's idea of visitor hospitality, it's very own Guantanamo complete with sliding metal gate. We were penned in for the mild torture of standing on concrete for 40 minutes, a torture not so much physical as mental as it really reflected the fact that our authorities would rather pen people in like animals than properly deal with the arseholes who ruin football for the vast majority. I'd love to know how much today's game cost to police. The cavalry were literally out in force, so too the foot soldiers (Regular police, Railway Police and Stewards) and, looking down from the station to the townscape below it was rather like seeing a miniature army strategically assembled for battle. Would it be an exaggeration to suggest that 300 police were involved in the ground, outside the ground and at the stations and on the trains? Well deserved win though and a memorable day out for reasons that were both good and bad.

Ford Super Sunday Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Can I just add my delight at the win, I won't do a report on what I feel, as most have been covered. But credit to Cleverly, but most particularly to Oakley for outstanding performances. They were two of the team who stood out as being ready for millwall and their buly tactics. As for the feckin disgusting throwing...I zoomed in on the ****s... (dont forget to view its full size for the real zoom effectivness!) (more pictres like this when i can be arsed to upload them)
Tilley Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 What a win & it was a great day too. Loved beating them scumbags.

But like some have said its as likely as Wenger admitting to seeing a foul by one of his players.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Don't know if its been said, but on a millwall fan forum they reckoned about a 150 strong mob were battling with the police... bottles being thrown etc... they needed the horses to calm it down and all that. Thats why we took so long to ger out it seems
Lillehamring Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Jobber."We shall not be moved" was class as well Whilst I didn't think the atmopshere was up to much today during the game at the end whilst locked in it was fantastic "D-I-S-C-OOOOOO" London Bridge was chaos, Pretty sure Millwall made it there and were waiting for us, hence pretty much the whole station being shut down to escourt us through. MIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL As Fez said "It may not be the nicest place but so exciting" which for me made it a fantastic day and footballing experience. for what it's worth, the noise in the second half was almost drowning out stringer on the wireless...so well done to you guys for one of the best singing performance i've heard in a while

J.Lisemore Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Brilliant day. Loved it apart from nearly having my ear-ring ripped out when we scored . The support was great and we got the result we wanted SUPER STEVE!
davieG Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Posted by Soho on Bentley's The OB had loads of trouble with the Millwall lot today. Cavalry charges and baton charges while we were being kept back. The Millwall were desperate for a row both outside the ground and up at LB. Chanting "Let hem out. Let them out" They are in the shit for the coin and bottle throwing as well. Ref is gonna report it. A steward got a coke bottle in the mush. Overall the OB did well to get us away unscathed. Even though it took nearly 90 minutes to get up to LB.
Corky Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 What a win & it was a great day too.Loved beating them scumbags. You (if it was you) seemed to be everywhere yesterday
Daggers Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Milwall is an anacronism - it's a bad Peter Pan which never grew up from the crap 80's
Thracian Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Don't know if its been said, but on a millwall fan forum they reckoned about a 150 strong mob were battling with the police... bottles being thrown etc... they needed the horses to calm it down and all that.Thats why we took so long to ger out it seems If the will's there it shouldn't take the club long to sort out who the coin throwers and later troublemakers were. And it was entirely one sided. I was virtually on the right hand end of the City block nearest their fans and didn't see anything thrown by City fans. Indeed the stewards and few Police officers were able to chat among themselves virtually the whole game. Yes there were a few mimed gestures but mostly the Millwall fans seemed pissed off that we were completely outsinging them with every whimper they came up with being drowned out and with interest to the point that they ended up mostly as a small block of yobs waving their arms and miming various irreverent gestures. It must be great for the folk living near the ground cos the trouble could easily have spilled over into one of the local housing blocks - the only one I saw that looked civilised - and there was a police cordon right across the road hopefully preventing access to the place. It looked a very small estate and those residents looked very vulnerable - or at least their houses did. The aerial view we had made it quite revealing to see the extent to which the police were deployed across the residential area like a military force -a scene made comicly bizarre by the appearance of a lone ice cream van appearing behind their lines and being left with nowhere to go. I'd have just loved it if he'd switched his music on and sold an ice-cream or two to the coppers.
Guest Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Never got on that last Leicester train after the match either and more Millwall fans came up when the frazzles went but no trouble. Four of em were spewin up on the platform in front of us. Proper violent sickin was funny. And then when the next train came the door opened and someone was unconcious face down in the doorway and stayed that way til we got off! Encountered many nutters on the way back. Sure is a funny place I think I saw you and your missus waiting on the platform, whilst we were squeezed on the train waiting for it to leave. If it was you, she didn't look very happy (although I don't blame her to be honest)!!

Unfortunately I could have seen those thugs smashing that up
Matt Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Why did Dennis Wise ever leave that beautiful () club? They were a match made in heaven, perfect for each other.
