Dames Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 3-1 to City. Can't really see us losing this and i feel that the pressure will get to Boro slightly.
Bablemikey Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 I am expecting a loss here and I would cite the loss of influential players and the apparant lack of a plan B when Howard either doesn't play or is well marshalled as my reasoning. I also feel that sometimes in those circumstances we have conceded the midfield a little too readily hoofing balls from back to front where they have been easily defended. For this game I would like to see a very strong midfield and perhaps a lone striker for maybe the first half of the game. I would be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong!
Guest Bilo Posted 25 March 2009 Posted 25 March 2009 A tough game that seems all set for us to suffer defeat, a draw at best. However, if Dickov starts and looks anything like as hungry as he did when coming on against Colchester, he will cause problems and free up Fryatt. The loss of King is a concern, but Berner should be able to deputise efficiently enough and has played alongside Oakley this season so that becomes less of a concern. The pessimism regarding this game is similar to the pessimism surrounding the Millwall game, but I can see a similar outcome. 1-0 City, Fryatt scoring. Title sewn up.
Tilley Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Peterborough 3 Boyd (2) McLean Leicester City 0 or Peterborough 0 Leicester City 1 Fryatt
Scow Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 We've tried a Dickov and Fryatt partnership and it hasn't worked; same could be said for Hayles and Fryatt too, but at least Bazza offers a physical option. We do seem to lack ideas without Howard and I hope it reinforces to those people who mindlessly slate him how important he is.

maddog Posted 26 March 2009 Author Posted 26 March 2009 2 days until 3 more points in the bag and the title virtually sealed
StanSP Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 2 days until 3 more points in the bag and the title virtually sealed Really pushing the case to be blamed if we don't win then
maddog Posted 26 March 2009 Author Posted 26 March 2009 Really pushing the case to be blamed if we don't win then Its thanks to this seasons optimeters that we have done so well, i will take the blame for our impending promotion
CasperBlue Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 One things for sure, the atmosphere will be electric!
lildave3 Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 I'm hoping it'll be another game like Millwall, where we will rise to the occasion and get the 3 points. But i'm nowhere near as confident as I was going to London.
maddog Posted 26 March 2009 Author Posted 26 March 2009 Really starting to look forward to this one now. And with it being standing the atmosphere should be better than any game ever. People sit down and don't sing, can't imagine people standing up and not singing
PoshWeAre Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Posh 1 Foxes 0, Gorgeous Georgie Boyd to fire home a 92nd minute thunderbolt. It's meant to be, so if you wouldn't mind giving fate a helping hand by rolling over and letting us help ourselves to 3 points that would be great.

PoshDrummerAdam Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Hello there lads. I'll post it in this section my review of the game on Saturday. Now you will probably think, oh here we go, biast poster cause he's a Posh fan. Well, i don't think it will be an easy game for either side as the league table shows. But from what i read, we've taken 21 points from our last 24 and you've only taken 13 i was shocked at. You seem to be drawing a fair few at the minute which from a healthy lead and we thought you could win the league at our place! It's now down to, if Leicester win saturday, league title over and its in your hands. But, if Posh win then i think it could be really interesting, really do. I personally think MK Dons are pretty low on confidence now and di matteo has fcuked things up for them, so its between Leicester, Posh and Millwall for two places. I think Saturday with you having a few key players out that will show, and with us coming off with some hard earn wins against Bristol last saturday and Northampton the week before when we had 10 men for 83 minutes in a local derby, that we're gunna knick this one and put the title race back on. Posh 2 Leicester 1 Mackail Smith and Lee!
Koke Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 If Crewe beat Millwall and we somehow manage to draw at London Rd, then I would deem that as a good afternoon.
J.Lisemore Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Think we'll do well to draw this tbh. Im going for 1-1, Peterborough last minute equaliser.

Posh 2 Leicester 1 Mackail Smith and Lee! He has hardly fooked things up, first season in management and he has taken a team that were playing league 2 football last season to potentially playing championship football next season. As for the game tomorrow, I am looking forward to it, It definitely won't be 4-0 this time round but I can see us winning the game by the odd goal or two. Hopeful.....
