James. Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Would it be too far fetched to suggest that Ferguson may keep hold of Cleverley in a bid to help his son at Peterborough?
StanSP Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Would it be too far fetched to suggest that Ferguson may keep hold of Cleverley in a bid to help his son at Peterborough? Possiblity but I don't think this is the case. Cleverly's injury, even though not as bad as first feared, would still rule him out of this match I think. If this was the case though, I'd kick up a fuss!
Dr The Singh Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Would it be too far fetched to suggest that Ferguson may keep hold of Cleverley in a bid to help his son at Peterborough? I think it would, but then again i wouldn't rule anything out in the murky world of porn and football!!!
Corky Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 He looked in a bad way on Saturday. It was an innocuous challenge but he went down and looked in serious pain. I can't see him playing again this season for us and I don't think Ferguson has any ulterior motive for taking him back to Man Utd.

If it popped out and back in, it may not have been a full dislocation but still horrendously painful - I know from experience! My shoulder has displaced on a number of occasions, but the docs always said that if it was fully disclocated I wouldn't be able to work it back in myself. Could be weak for a day or so, but OK after that - until next time. It weakens the muscles each time so you either need to spend time building up the muscle through physio or get it pinned.

My knee used to pop out and then back in again in a similar kind of way to what it sounds like with Cleverly and I used to have to stop doing sport for a couple of weeks each tiem it happened. You could see it happen if you happened to be looking, it were proper wrong. Hasn't done it for about three years now, touch wood.
C-man Posted 24 March 2009 Posted 24 March 2009 Tom'll be alright. Out this weekend and back for Carlisle is my guess.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7961076.stm Leicester City loanee Tom Cleverley may not return after sustaining a sickening shoulder injury last weekend."He had a scan yesterday and I would suspect we may not see him again this season," said manager Nigel Pearson. The Manchester United man has been forced to return to Old Trafford prematurely after falling awkwardly in the draw against Colchester. The 19-year-old played 15 times for Leicester in League One following his January move, scoring two goals.
ousefox Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7961076.stm Shame he probably won't come back. He was just stating to settle into the team in my opinion.
Katy Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 "He had a scan yesterday and I would suspect we may not see him again this season," said manager Nigel Pearson. Maybe I'm reading too much into this but this comment makes it sound like he might be coming back next season?
Koke Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Yeah that how I read it too. I hope he comes back to us next season.
Corky Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Maybe I'm reading too much into this but this comment makes it sound like he might be coming back next season? Possibly, but I think it's the end of his season and they aren't looking beyond that. It'd be good to see him have another spell here though.
clazkel Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Against Walsall Cleverly was quality, and i think he has alot more to give, its ashame hes out, i hope he comes back next season if not before!
C-man Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Sad times. Bit of bad luck we've had in the last few weeks, hopefully it'll balance out on Saturday!
davieG Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Tom Cleverley is backing the Blue Army to roar the Foxes back to the Championship. The Manchester United midfielder, who has now returned to Old Trafford after picking up a shoulder injury during a loan spell with Leicester, was back at the Walkers Stadium this week to say farewell to his team-mates before he goes under the surgeon's knife on Thursday. And during his fleeting visit the 19-year-old starlet sent out a message to the Foxes faithful. He said: "I'd like to say a big thank you to the Leicester City fans for the support that they gave me during my short time with the club. "The backing that the team get from the terraces is phenomenal - both home and away. I made my league debut at Yeovil. The game was actually live on television but there was a still a massive Leicester support there. "There were nearly 5,000 at MK Dons and the lads have just been telling me that there were over 4,000 at Peterborough on Saturday. There are not many teams outside the Premiership that can command that size of following. "The fans have now got a massive part to play in the last six games. It really does make a big difference - especially to the younger players." Cleverley netted two goals in ten starts during his time at the Walkers Stadium, the second of those strikes coming in City's 4-0 victory over Cheltenham. "That was a great day," he added. "everything just clicked and we played some fantastic football. "I suppose the fact that things were going so well on the pitch makes it all the more disappointing to get injured. But these things happen in football and you just have to get on with it. "The manager and the coaching staff here at Leicester have been different class. It's a fantastic club from top to bottom. I will certainly never forget my time here. "I'll be coming back to watch the Leeds game on Bank Holiday Monday and I'm looking forward to joining the fans and cheering the lads on."

Thoroughly agree with what he says about the fans in the last six games. Down as I've felt after some of our wretched recent performances, come match day we really have to raise the roof - at home as well as away. It does help of course if the team provides something to help sustain the atmosphere but I remember the attitude with some of our end of season battles against teams like Barnsley and Birmingham when the Great Escape came to the fore. The current situation is the same but at the other end of the table.
Ric Flair Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Tom Cleverley will be a Leicester City player again next season.
Dr The Singh Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 He hates Leeds! Shat ap, Kojak, he hates you and all!!
Tilley Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Maybe I'm reading too much into this but this comment makes it sound like he might be coming back next season? Tom Cleverley will be a Leicester City player again next season. Yes. Your are correct. He wants to come back & more than likely will do.
C-man Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Fair play to him coming back for the Leeds game. I wonder if he'll be on the pitch after we've won
clazkel Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Tom Cleverley will be a Leicester City player again next season. I really hope so, his performance against Walsall was quality
