Corky Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Haha.Leeds fans, yeah ok, your fans were outstanding, yeah we had some sad act fans that were more interested in goading you than celebrating. However, Steve Howard scored a header in the last minute, the stadium erupted, we're on the brink of not just promotion, but winning this league, something you have now twice failed to do. Yeah, ok, It's only League One, but I couldn't give two shits whether it is the Conference or the Premier League. My team is about to win a league title. Call us tinpot, call us a joke, call our support shit, say Beckford is better than Fryatt. I couldn't care less. It is just jealousy because the way we have adapted to this league so well & will go up at the first time of asking. Today I am proud to call myself a Leicester City fan & nothing you can say will change that. Well said Tills. We may be a tinpot, nothing club- whatever, but it's MY tinpot, nothing club that has had a fantastic season and has been well-received by the majority of clubs this season. Our supporters have hd great reviews and comments from fans and officials at other clubs. At the end of the day- we are top for a reason, and we have been since November 22. And I'm bloody confident we'll be there on May 2. The celebrations were brilliant- I'd have done the same against any club as it meant that much.
TonyDorigo Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 As I've said before, I have no issue with them singing. I have but praise for their noise level (I was further away in the Kop). It's singing the same tedious chant for 25 minutes and then declaring that the only highlight of the game which is amusing. Sounds to me Leeds never really wanted to win this game then. I hope all your fans aren't as deluded as this? I really do suggest that you celebrate your ever so close promotion and a fantastic win today, rather than being bitter over our own opinions, to be fair. Just enjoy the moment.
Daggers Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Nice to see we're talking ourselves into crediting Lids with more vocal contribution than two viewings of the match proves they didn't have.
CosbehFox Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Delph should have buried that chance. No doubt. I thought he was very left footed but it's clear to see with his technique why he's bummed so much. His tackling though would be firmly 'caught out' at a higher level. He dives in too early. Leeds love finals anyways....hehehe.
Corky Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Nice to see we're talking ourselves into crediting Lids with more vocal contribution than two viewings of the match proves they didn't have. You have to be sympathetic and patronisingly pat them on the head when we've just done them with 10 seconds to go

Just enjoy the moment. "Deluded"? I posing my opinion on your Waccoe friends' comments about today's game and the one thing that sticks out by a mile is your praise for your vocal support. Hardly any criticism or talk about your players... Did you lot oversee what was happening on the pitch? Did you actually care? Also, your buds - claim that we've already gained promotion when we haven't - bring back up long-forgotten stuff from 2004 which has nothing to do with today's team (apart from one player who was also cleared of all charges) - can't see why most of our fans left the ground before you were escorted back to your buses (I mean, the logic behind that is clear to you, right?) - think we're 17m £ in debt when we've actually declared a loss of 17£m stemming from our drop from the Championship - honestly assume we haven't done anything this season to strengthen our squad - mingle and hide with our flock today, only to call them foul names later on online Sorry, but your "deluded" friends on "that other forum" know s*d all about us.
Lord Nibblington Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 "Deluded"?I posing my opinion on your Waccoe friends' comments about today's game and the one thing that sticks out by a mile is your praise for your vocal support. Hardly any criticism or talk about your players... Did you lot oversee what was happening on the pitch? Did you actually care? Seriously. Let it go. May I remind that of the Sheffielf United away game last season? I seem to recall those who went to the game didn't spend a great deal of time talking about what actually happened at the match, compared to what happened in the stands. They lost, played ok, and support was decent.
weluv Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 well done foxes. Thought you shaded it, but it was always going to be a struggle for us with no pace up front, and Larry persisting with Dicko for so long, meaning Grella had no time to make an impact. As has been said, great advert for the division and it was nice to do another new ground. Singing WALL for 25 minutes was f*****g brilliant, got on to a mate of mine listening on the radio, said it was all you could hear, something which the commentators made reference to. I'm also pleased we managed to get some of our other songs out rather than the usual 4/5 that get sung. I wish you well in the championship, and look forward to coming back to Leicester next season.
BlueSi13 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Leeds outsung us at the Walkers, we outsung them at Elland Road....end of story. Still buzzing after the result!! all that worrying about us being caught by Peterborough and Millwall seems like such a long time ago now! testament to what a couple of wins can do at this stage of the season!! roll on the Derby & Coventry next season! just relieved its all but over!!

Would you've personally liked to talk about what happened on the pitch back then? Right, me neither. (Come on, hardly a comparable case)
Craig Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 A game that we lost 0-3 and that put the final nail in our relegation coffin?Would you've personally liked to talk about what happened on the pitch back then? Right, me neither. (Come on, hardly a comparable case) In the same way that they would want to talk about a last minute goal that almost ended their automatic promotion hopes, and saw us practically promoted? I thought their support was excellent, and they have every right to be proud of it.
Munzie Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 well done foxes. Have to agree with your take on the game. I wouldn't have minded a draw but what happened in the final minute is the reason we all persist in forking out our hard earned dosh to follow our team. It's good that you've finally sorted out your back four. As you state, my critique on Leeds from today would be similar, lack of firepower up front. I do feel for you in that your track record of recent play-offs is not good. Yet another season in league 1 will start to dent some of your good support. You singing WALL for 25 minutes was not all down to you. We were joining in with 'Top of the league" for some of it which would have increased the volume. That said, I'm not bothered with who outsung who. Just pleased to be part of a great atmosphere today and witnessing a good football match which Leicester supporters will be alot more happier with than Leeds tonight.

Right, me neither. (Come on, hardly a comparable case) No, but we played shit that day, and we took the positives. Which is what Leeds are doing when stating they're proud of their support. As Craig said, their support was incredible and they're rightfully proud.
MC Prussian Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Again, for all to see and to avoid further misunderstandings: THE LEEDS FANS WERE REALLY, REALLY LOUD TODAY BUT ALSO VERY, VERY REPETITIOUS AND BORED THE SHIT OUT OF ME. That's all.

Joe. Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 And they're there to entertain you are they? Stop defending them you fool. We can forget about these c*nts now, let's move on to teams we actually have to worry about in the future.
MC Prussian Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 And they're there to entertain you are they? Obviously they were there to entertain themselves mostly.
Corky Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 So- Leeds made the most noise. Leicester scored the most goals. Good enough for me
Asha Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stop defending them you fool. I hate Leeds, obviously...I'm not defending them . I just think it was a little strange to say they weren't entertaining enough...when we won the game and that's all that matters.
Samilktray Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 OMGZ LEEDS MADE SO MUCH FREEKIN NOISE Such an internet geek.
