I'd just like to say to the lady Leeds fan in the purple top sat on the edge of their fans in about row L, that you should dump your fella who looks old enough to be your Dad, and come out with me instead.

She's bound to be reading, most of the others seem to have been

Totally and utterly immense. This weekend has been amazing. We totally deserved to win, I don't care what Grayson or the Leeds scum say.

Heroes in blue and white......

It's amazing how deluded they are, so deluded in fact I struggle to comprehend it.

I would have thought Grayson would have shown some character and admit the better team won. Sour grapes or what!!

BTW, that city performance brought alot of pride back, if only we could show the same passion every week!!

The feeling was amazing. I'm just so proud of the boys all season, I refused to go into slating them,

I even handled the nightmares of not being promoted... Some sleepless nights there.

Well done boys. Once again you make me proud to be a Leicester fan..

P.S Nigel Pearson heading the ball... total legend

I love football.

What a game and thank you to Stevie Howard for not only sealing our promotion and title, but winning me a couple of quid from Ladbrokes.

If I knew how to work the search function properly, I'd probably pull up that thread about "a letter to Matt Oakley". I thought he was immense today alongside Wayne Brown and up there with Howard for MOTM. Dyer looked dangerous as well, which was great to see.

Well done to the whole team and also to Leeds for playing the part so well. It was actually a bl**dy good game of football quality-wise.

Personally, I think Leeds are the strongest team in the play-offs. Admittedly, I haven't seen S****horpe at all this season but I've seen MK Dons, Millwall and Leeds both home and away. Leeds have looked the better team out of those.

I actually think we have enough points for the title as I can see Peterborough dropping another few points with a draw. Either way, a win next week to seal it.

Watching the 'wall v Posh game on Justin.tv last night the laughably-named 'chat' was full of leeds fans moaning about Leicester. Lots of racist bile from them to cover up the fact they couldn't stand losing. Until that kind of stuff stops happening, I will carry on thinking Leeds are not doing enough to stamp out racism. Who wouldn't?

As for the noise at the game, I admit that at times from the back of the kop we could hear Leeds fans singing loudly, so fair play. But while they were singing 'we all love leeds' there were many at our end joining in with 'top of the league' and inevitably 'we all hate leeds'. Best atmosphere in the kop all season, I'd say, given the passion, not just the celebrating (unlike Cheltenham which was like, err, a day at the races - sorry - rather than a competitive football match). Yesterday was brilliant, and today I can't speak.

On the pitch though is where it matters and we were, simply, all over them. Leeds were good enough to make it a great game, but we deserved the goal and the points. Everything about the game was pure magic. Even the SK4 stewards who didn't even once try to tell us to sit down.

Got to get my voice back for Saturday. Out comes the salt water gargle!

Not sure if its already been said

I think Dikov winding up their keeper took him totally out of the game at the time of the last 2 corners, totally incensed + lost it

Fantastic header by Howard but the keeper was also made to loose his focus...all part of the big plan?

A good defensive display - Which was what caused all our troubles in the winter.

Having the players go down battling - Infact, had that been against any other team in the division, I would have backed us to win.

The likes of Parker and Sodje having good games - There form will be vital in the playoffs.

People like Robinson coming on and creating something in the game - Great peace of mind to know that we have a degree of creativity past our starting eleven, which although not shown massively today, has been phenominal in the 11 games prior.

Basically, I thought we played well against what will be the league winners. I feel that we deserved something from the game for our defensive efforts, and thought that every Leeds player left the pitch knowing they had put there all into the game. What more can you actually ask from your players than that? I'd also like to say that it was refreshing to see a good performance without Jermaine Beckford, who I think wouldve been effective in this type of game... or at least more so than Dickinson!!

All in all, there are a lot of positives from this game, and even if Leicester City fan cant see them. I wouldnt be surprised though, I mean, you're not Leeds fans, so you dont know what we're hoping to improve on in time for the playoffs.

watching the game on tv, the three observations i'd make about leeds are:

1. sodje was awesome and without him, leeds would have lost heavily - time and time again he was there when it mattered

2. their final ball was way better than ours (up until the 92nd minute anyway)

3. the leeds fans (norwegian, mainly) in the pub were very quite and didn't look that bothered when they lost - but i lost count of the amount of times they groaned when possesion was squandered cheaply in midfield - and i think, in the second half that is where they lost the game, as we became relentless and when they did have the ball they had lost all their momentum

Yup, 27027 something I think was the final attendance from what I could read on Sky Sports! Thanks to all Leicester supporters showing our support in a local pub today here in Oslo - Norway, Vålerenga and Norfox74 especially. :)

hei, hyggelig å møte deg, Harald :scarf:

i had such a great day and it was nice to be able to share it with the ever growing oslo-foxes (also includes Moss  ),

I thought, like everyone else, gradel and dyer were sensational and showed up the leeds full backs time and again, there was one point where gradel had three men on him :giggle:

apart from the goal, the highlights for me were Howard going potty when the ref gave against him (btw, i thought the ref had a good first half generally, apart from the becchio/brown shambles and not booking the leeds player who raised his hands very early on, but he did let play flow really well - 2nd half :nono: he just lost control of his card)...

...and also the bit where andy king walked through 3 defenders and then layed it off to dyer, that whole move was sublime - even Birtles was wanking over it!

shame the southend game isn't on TV :(

I thought we were the better team and deserved to win. Yes, Leeds had their chances, but we had more of them and we looked to win the game for the whole 90. Leeds were seemingly happy to settle for a point as time went on.

Dyer and Oakley were superb, but you couldn't fault any one today. Leeds were on a good run, and under Grayson, they've won 13 out of 22, which is title winning form.

We mixed it up well yesterday, like we have all season, playing some good football on the ground and using Howard in the air when we needed. It annoys the hell out of me that fans focus on the direct approach and forget about the other side of our game.

I really can't wait for Southend.

It shouldn't, but it really irks me that you can't really go on a fans forum and not get a load of biased, truly horrible people commenting. FT isn't too bad, but there's even some here and WACCOE is an absolute disgrace, I refuse to believe it's remotely representative of their fanbase.

Thought it was an absolutely battled game, incredibly even. Every single man on both sides had to put his body on the line to win ground and the ball. Not that it was devoid of skill, we had some lovely moves involving Howard, Gradel etc. plus King's little mazy dribble and Dyer murdering Douglas (or Howson, I forget which way round they played). As did they, Robinson looked to have the ability to take the game to us and Snodgrass and Delph roamed with the ball into Leicester territory on a few occasions.

I thought Leeds played well. Ankergren, who I understand is often iffy, had an excellent game and Naylor and Sodje were man mountains. I thought their left hand side dealt quite well with Gradel and it was testament to Gradel's off the ball ability that he was able to ghost passed them in search of the ball a couple of times. Dyer definitely won his fight though, so much quicker than their right back, and so eager and confident to drive at the Leeds defense. The centre midfield battle was well fought, their central midfielders were capable of getting hold of the ball and redistributing the play. I marvelled at how King and Oakley played though, and indeed the entire team, closing down with such ferocious intensity that Leeds found hard to cope with. We didn't exactly play through our midfield today but King and particularly Oakley were absolutely everywhere, wresting control of the game from a capable Leeds side. I thought their strikers didn't look up to much, Becchio was an absolute fanny and Dickinson, whilst working hard to track back in a way which typified the game, offered nothing. But obviously, them missing Beckford is like us missing Fryatt or possibly even Howard.

Speaking of which, both strikers worked hard today. Fryatt found it hard to break through the Leeds line but was the first line of defence along with Howard, who's workrate has improved from last season at an astronomical rate. And what a fabulous goal.

Our defence wasn't quite as impressive as theirs but Brown was solid, if not spectacular, Mattock and Morrison were both quality at full back but Hobbs stood out for me. Perhaps not as dramatic as Brown but did everything right and his distribution was probably the reason Thracian hasn't managed to complain yet.

They can bang on about being European Champions  but what does it matter? We got the three points and are 14 points ahead of them, losing 10 fewer this season.

There is no doubt who is the better team, and it's been harder for us as we are everyone's Cup Final and teams try harder against us than anyone else

being a 3rd division side with a european history > being a middling championship side with 3 league cups

not really, but we all know leeds will be back eventually . these last few seasons (like us in many ways) have been thier worst ever, but the soul and fabric of football clubs aren't about 2 or 3 seasons, but many many years of history...

Listen people, come together... we're leaving Leeds in the hole they belong, the hole we don't deserve to be in, the hole that Nige refused to be stuck in. It's a nasty hole full of cup finals, dirty sheds and dead football clubs.

What I'm trying to say is **** LEEDS - we have better things to think about and being Leicester fans, moan about..

Bunch of no-mark tossers

You've never won **** all, and if you think League 1 is an achievement, i pity you.

See you next season in the Championship
