lcfc81 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 There's two things from today's game that have annoyed me a little.First off... Grayson. To announce in the post match press conference that his team were the better side is pushing it a little bit. That surprised me. He should have been more humble in defeat. They were very workman-like, quite slow on the ball and relied heavily on set pieces from Snodgrass. Secondly... the Leeds fans. They have to resort to some sort of one-upmanship even if it means not referring to the game at all. Rather than being gracious in defeat, they criticise our support - for not being loud enough? For not singing? Oh, the shame. Judging home support has become some sort of X Factor talent show of sorts? Yeah, whatever. And us 'slightly edging' the game? Whatever. That was one superb performance and one which shall be remembered for many years to come. Awesome. He has to say that because it was his tactical gaff (taking off two of there biggest players and in particular Dickinson) that left them weak at those last corners.
Samilktray Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Haven't you got some girls to perv over? Fucking wish I did have.
maddog Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Atmosphere was great, weather was great, game was decent. Almost the best home performance of the season, we battled so hard, the first 25 minutes was certainly the best start to a game i've seen all season, we just got right at them. And Lloyd Dyer played like he was doing in the first 10 games of the season, stunningly, think he got the MOTM award, im guessing that was the trophy he was holding when we drove past him The Leeds fans were very loud, but so were the Leicester fans, the kop was full of atmosphere for most of the game. Incredible last minute winner, did anyone in the stadium actually believe we would do that from that corner in the last minute Our corners and free kicks have been dog shit for 15 games or so now, despite scoring the odd free kick we NEVER score from corners apart from today, and Oakley most of the time wastes the set pieces. It was probably Dyer's best performance of the season. About had a heart attack when that header went in though
Daggers Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 I hate Leeds, obviously...I'm not defending them .I just think it was a little strange to say they weren't entertaining enough...when we won the game and that's all that matters. I think it's in relation to people crawling up their collective arse. Winning is, was and will be the only thing that matters.

That was one superb performance and one which shall be remembered for many years to come. Awesome. If Grayson was right about Leeds being the better side I wonder why so many of his fans have voted their goalkeeper as either their best, or close to their best, player? Leicester had more chances, better individuals, restricted Leeds' attacking momentum with relative ease and did the one thing that football is all about. They scored. The only phase Leeds had the edge was in their set-pieces. But then we cleverly saved our good one til the end!
Maybes Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Leeds' support might be full of a lot of wankers, however when in the stands they fully back their team and are very vocal in their support - easily the best in the league. However points mean prizes and today we got all three! Cheers then!!
BoneDog Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Just got back, great day out..........Suuuuper Stevie Howard!Thought Dyer was exceptional today and maxi had a blinder. Wayne Brown was an absolute beast in defence, would like to see him here next season. All in all a great team effort. When the goal went in and everyone went mad you could actually feel the stadium bouncing!!! I'm glad the engineers did their calculations! Sooooo happy, Howard Yes man! I wanted Wayne before, but now I NEED HIM ! He got stronger as the game went on. One word : SOLID
Babylon Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Grayson thought they were better ????!!!!! Ha ha ha!!? Yeah ok clown.... Decent/boring fans is all they have to give!!!
BlueSi13 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Grayson thought they were better ????!!!!! Ha ha ha!!? Yeah ok clown.... Decent/boring fans is all they have to give!!! haha Graysons comments were truly amazing, he was probably consulting WACCOE for guidance before giving the interview! there fans did do ok but then again it was their cup final! they really really need to find the results now
lcfc81 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 They aren't half bitter for people who only care about how good their support is! http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=143851 Best defence, second most goals scored, top of the league, 4 out of 6 point against them and being relegated with an unusually high number of points not good enough for them. Infact on top of that they think we are broke! and they have more money than us! When was the last time Ken Bates got his cheque book out?
Tilley Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Jesus wept, people are still interested in Leeds fans?
Maybes Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 WE ARE LEEDS UNITED WE'LL NEVER BE DEFEATED Possibly the worst chant Ive heard in my life. Kudos for the Dickov chant though......

Right, I'll be cheering for any other team than Leeds in the playoffs, despite not liking Millwall or MK either, but these are the bitterest, most deluded supporters I've come across. No money? ERRR....so it's not us that has the biggest budget in league one? Delph will go regardless of whether they get promoted, apparently McAllister was trying to flog him and get some money in before he got sacked, and he seems like a very important player for them. Does anyone remember that Man utd fan who impersonated a man city fan on five live, calling them a 'massive massive club' I'm reminding of this. Who gives a fook 'how big' we are? I thought football was about how good, not how big!?

Infact on top of that they think we are broke! and they have more money than us! When was the last time Ken Bates got his cheque book out? Some classic stuff in there. Am I the only one who thought we absolutely destroyed them first half? They were b*llocks. Why they think they can judge how good we are after seeing 2 of our 43 games this season is beyond me. They need to stop being so ****ing proud and accept they are shite sometimes. But people shouldn't care what they put on their forum, it's all just becuse they know we read it and they try to act like they don't care but you know they absolutely hate the fact that they can't compete in this league and they'd swap our manager and squad for theirs any day of the week. The table doesn't lie, end of. ...and I thought the kop was great today, I was sitting in the middle of the East stand and I could hear the Kop making more noise, maybe it's just me. :scarf:

Very true although quite simply, Leicester are a big club and a successful club this season, Leeds are a big club and will probably end up being unsuccessful this season, don't think there's anything else that can be said apart from onto to Southend!!
filbertboy Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Grayson thought they were better ????!!!!! Ha ha ha!!? Yeah ok clown.... Decent/boring fans is all they have to give!!! Have just seen Darren Ferguson on sky his team just beaten by nearest rivals....Didnt make any excuses ...didnt even blame ref over the three times taken peno. just said better tean won..dignified in defeat just as you have to be.....Grayson should take note.
lildave3 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 CHAAMMMPPIIIOONNNEEEE CHAMPIOONNNEEE OLÉ OLÉ OLÉ! Fairytale ending for me. Steve Howard to come from nowhere to get on the end of a corner and bag a last minute winner against Leeds. Just, just, orgasmic.

Craig Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 I love when it pans to the Kop going crazy, i'm on the left sided stairway on the floor :w00t:
weluv Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Grayson's being a tosser, not like him but ok. Ferguson was the same when peterborough lost to us. BTW was your 'kop' the stand at the opposite end from us? where everyone was sat down and nobody sang? And I accept we're a shite team at the moment, but i think we're moving in the right direction and will be promoted this year. Only two things annoy me about you lot, who seem, I must say, to be a very decent & pleasant bunch. 1)You were outsung by a group of fans you outnumbered 8-1 at home, but are trying to deny this 2)A few of you like to tar us all as racist thugs, which only proves you've never actually met us. You complain about some of our lot being bad, but your prejudicial attitudes are even worse!
