Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Dyer MOTM - Outstanding, fucking unstoppable today. Agreed. Getting his form back at just the right time.
eastendfox Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 From TV Stockdale 6 - Important saves when needed, but a bit uncertain at other times Morrison 7 - Not a bad right back actually Mattock 7 - Best I've seen him for a while, hopefully the watching Martin O'Neill will put in a £3m bid for him now Hobbs 7 - Strong and hardly put a foot wrong Brown 7 - As for Hobbs really Gradel 7 - Looked dangerous most of the time, and tracked back well too. Too much moaning though Oakley 8 - Worked exceptionally hard and some great passes King 8 - Tireless performance - my MOTM Dyer 8 - Some great runs, final ball a bit lacking Howard 7 - Up against a good defender, battled well and finished on top! Fryatt 7 - Never stopped trying to find a yard of space, but up against good defenders Sub: Dickov 7 - At last, came on and looked up for it and won the vital corner Berner - too late a sub, didn't do much
lcfc81 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale: 7, Good save from Delph (made himself big), generally a good game (trying to over look the fact he punched it backwards onto his own bar! Morrison: 7, Is performing well as a make shift RB, kept trying to support the attack, and if that shot had taken a bobble.... Hobbs: 7.5 Fast becoming a legend, sign him up! Brown: 7.5 Fits into the defence better than Kisnorbo IMO and kept their striker quite, why was he booked? Mattock, .. My mum says if you haven't got anything nice to say about someone say nothing at all....... Gradel: 8 Very tricky, Leeds had to put Delph on him to slow him down. Oakley ©:7.5 Some lovely touches and excellent passes (am in a good mood so overlooking when he over played it once or twice). King: 8 Looked better than Delph in CM for me, unlucky with a good shot. Nice touches, turns and short passes for the team. Dyer: 8.5 Man of the Match, when he ran at their defence they looked very scared. Howard: 8Excellent game inspite of a very poor ref. Brilliant goal, I love this guy! Fryatt: 7 A hard running never say die attitude. Substitutes: Dickov: 7 Seemed to up the tempo in attack when he came on. Also does anyone else think the ref was a joke? 5 or 6 Yellow cards for what? (What do the people who watched it on TV think?) Finally a disclaimer, I know I've prob. been a little generous but we are almost there now and was a very good team performance.
Webbo Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 From the game. Stockdale 7.5 Morrison 8 Outstanding considering it isn't his position. Mattock 7.5 Hobbs 8 Brown 8 Gradel 8 Oakley 8 King 8 Dyer 8 *MOTM* Howard 8 Fryatt 7 Worked his plums off. Sub: Dickov 7
Joe. Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale 7 Morrison 6 Brown 8 Hobbs 7.5 Mattock 5.5 Gradel 7.5 Oakley 8 King 7 Dyer 9 Howard 8 Fryatt 6 Dyer was absolutely outstanding today, full of confidence and ran Douglas ragged. So pleased for him.
Jimmy Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale 7 Morrison 7 Hobbs 6 Brown 7 Mattock 6 Gradel 6 King 7 Oakley 6 Dyer 8 Fryatt 6 Howard 7 Dickov 6
Milky Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale 7 Morrison 7 Brown 8 Hobbs 8 Mattock 7 Gradel 8 Oakley 8 King 8 Dyer 9 Howard 8 Fryatt 7
Vardinhio Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 I'm worried O'Neil will be looking at Dyer, not Delph. Brilliant performance, imagine if he could control his pace a little better to make it more effective. Could cause serious problems for full backls in the prem.
Benji Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale - 8 Morrison - 7 Mattock - 6 Hobbs - 8 Brown - 8 Gradel - 8 Dyer - 10: first time I think I've given a 10 this season! Oakley - 8 King - 8 Fryatt - 7 Howard - 8 Dickov - 7
Joe. Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 I'm worried O'Neil will be looking at Dyer, not Delph. Brilliant performance, imagine if he could control his pace a little better to make it more effective. Could cause serious problems for full backls in the prem. No chance mate, don't worry. He's barely been consistent enough in League One let alone the Premiership.
clazkel Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale - 8 Two great saves Morrison - 7.5 Looked comfortable seeing as he was out of position, got 4ward when he could. I think he should always be in the team Hobbs - 7.5 Solid, need to sign him Brown - 7 Very calm on the ball Mattock - 7 Done ok Gradel - 8 Works so hard, was all over the pitch Oakley - 8 Showed his class at times, had confidence to run with the ball. Some poor corners tho King- 7.5 Closed down well Dyer - 8.5 Im glad Pearson stuck with him as i thought he shouldve been dropped months ago, seems to have his confidence back Fryatt - 7 Dont think hes fit as doesnt look as sharp as he did earlier in the season, did try and close them down tho Howard - 8 Worked hard, won most headers, held the ball up well, and he scored, Super Stevie Howard! Dickov - 7 Got involved straight away, needs to be careful not to foul tho
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale 7 -One great save from Robinson and the other 2 when he stopped a close range effort and flapped the ball away from his knees. Best moment was at the end when he celebrated our goal and then realised he was by himself and thought he might as well join the others so he ran the full length of the pitch and dived in! Morrison 7 -Didnt really have to much to do but did everything right. Brown 8 -Better today. Not happy with his pace or distribution but he led the team at the back and got the defence well organised. Hobbs 7.5 -Did well against Dickinson and put in some good challenges. Mattock 7 -OK today but I still think he is overrated and did get too far forward leaving us vulnerable. Gradel 8 -Attacked constantly down the right and a constant threat. GET THIS LAD TAKING CORNERS Oakley 8 -He looked well up for this. He seemed to win all the 50/50s with ease and battled till the end. The only thing stopping him from a 9 is the fact his corners are shite. King 7 -One great move when he danced in the box but wasn't scared of tackling hard and he linked well with Dyer. Dyer 9 -Back to his old form? Awesome again, Douglas couldn't deal with him and unlucky not to bag a goal. MOM Howard 8 -100% effort. Chased, chased and chased defenders all the way back into his own half and did great defensive work from corners. AWESOME GOAL Fryatt 7 -Worked hard just not his day and he didn't reall have the pace for today, but again 100% effort. Dickov 7-Ran around, upset people & won the corner fair play to him.
Joe. Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Gradel 8 -Attacked constantly down the right and a constant threat. GET THIS LAD TAKING CORNERS To be fair, that was literally the only good corner put in all game by anybody, even Max. All of his were shite, floated ones which went straight to Angerken. But what a delivery for the goal, top drawer.

eraserhead66 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale - 7 Morrison - 7 Hobbs - 7 Brown - 8 Mattock - 7 Gradel - 8 King - 8 Oakley - 8 Dyer - 9 Howard - 8 Fryatt - 7 Dickov - 6
Jonezy Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Also does anyone else think the ref was a joke? 5 or 6 Yellow cards for what? (What do the people who watched it on TV think?) Saw the match on an internet stream, and the ref did a good job. Brown should have had a yellow, when Becchio got one, but instead got it a few minutes later professionally stopping an a counterattack. Oakleys tackle for the yellow was bad, so well deserved, Gradel got one for dissent because he kept harrassing the linemen and Morrisons was a tad unlucky, but he got in late. Also the ref didn't blow for penalty, when the ball hit Howard's arm in our box, which would have happend last year with our bad luck. Yeah, this ref was actually pretty good.
Joe. Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Surely, though you think Gradel corners are better than Oakley's? When they go further than the goalkeeper, yes.
Father Ted Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale 7 - did what he had to do Morrison 7.5 - was really solid all game Brown 7.5 - absolute rock in the air. No technique with the ball at his feet though and even pissed Becchio off. LOVE IT Hobbs 8 - Animal, unbeatable, unstoppable, brick wall, it just goes on and on. Mattock 7 - Massive improvement on previous performances. Not beaten once and even supported attacks well. Dyer 9 - Absolutely outstanding. He was full of confidence, ran at defenders and got past them every time. He even used his right foot a couple of time! Oakley 7.5 - Bossed the midfield well and got an extra half for letting Gradel take the corner. King 7.5 - Acted as a wall in front of the defence, was the only player in midfield who stuck tracking his man and got things going in attack. Gradel 8 - Great corner, great charisma and flair. Just a great player to watch. Class. Fryatt 6 - Average, very average. Comes up against decent defenders and he crumbles. Howard 9 - Won all his headers, apart from the ones where his marker was all over him and still no foul given. And what a goal!! Dickov 7 - Really stirred things up Ref 0 - Worst ref I have seen all season, in fact, maybe even possibly ever. Could ref 8 year olds never mind this one. What a joke! In fact I'm surprised he gave the corner!
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale - 7 Morrison - 8 I wouldnt mind if he was our first choice RB next year, if we cant get Kerry Hobbs - 8 Solid Brown - 8 Bullish CB Mattock - 7 Gradel - 8 His battle with Delph was excellent to watch!!Both players should be very proud of themselves, gave everything for their team. Also it was due to his constant threat down the right that Delph was muted attacking wise. King - 7 Steady Oakley - 7 Steady Dyer - 9 Ohhhh Lloyd!!! Howard - 8 Top performance Fryatt - great effort. Dickov - 7 hussle and bussle!!
Number 6 Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale 7 Morrison 7 Brown 8 Hobbs 7 Mattock 7 Gradel 7 Oakley 7 King 8 Dyer 9 - He's back! Howard 8 Fryatt 7 Overall thought we thoroughly deserved it today. Everybody on the pitch put in a shift and got their reward. The celebrations were immense.
Ricey Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Stockdale 7 - Kept a cleansheet but struggled to hold the ball Morrison 7.5 - Solid Brown 7.5 - Solid, cleary has no ability with his feet though Hobbs 8 - Rock solid Mattock 7.5 - Solid Dyer 8 - His pace was a threat all game Oakley 8 - Calm, cool, composed...class. King 7.5 - Not as effective as usual but didn't have a bad game Gradel 7.5 - Crap corners all game until the last one, caused Leeds problems all game though Fryatt 6 - Never looked likedscoring Howard 9 - I want his babies Dickov 7 - Did what he needed to do, keep the ball and win corners
