Leicester are planning a move for MK Dons midfielder Peter Leven. (Daily Mirror)

(Couldn't find the "Stick the 8 million players we'll be linked with in here" thread!)

He also tried suing them for printing false information I seem to remember, so take anything they say with a large shovel of salt!

Looking at him at MK Dons, I would probably take him but it is a step up to the championship.

Having said that, he took a step up from Chesterfield to MK Dons and looks a good player in league 1.

Yes, I'd probably have him. He seems to have strength, power and can finish. Nice attributes.

Good player, hi guys im new to the forum...been a city fan since i was 6 now 18. Been a season ticket holder since i was 8, do we have a like speculation transfer ins and out thread?

So far, this is what ive heard about potencial new players....

Bale

Hobbs

Leven

Beckford

Cox

N'guessan

Cleverley (on loan)

Gilbert

If you could perhaps make a thread about it/add to the list would be much apreciated!

People still persisting with the Beckford thing  ?

It's in the Mirror, therefore won't happen. The Franchisers reckon he's been guff lately anyway, they want rid.

If it's in the mirror you might as well cross him off our list of transfer targets.

.........and The Sun, The Star, News of The World, The People, Dandy & Beano etc etc.

Believe when they sign......not before!

Ok, i'm going to throw in a potentially wacky ideal transfer to see what people think of him.

An ideal replacement for Howard if we all reckon he won't hack it in the Championship - although he is older than Howard, he's fantastic at holding the ball up and winning headers. He's at Newcastle but if they go down i'm not sure another Prem club will have him and whoever he went to would be on a lot lot less money than now - Mark Viduka anyone?

I'd say more deluded than wacky. :crylaugh: EVen more injured anyway than Carl Cort.

Please tell me, why would Viduka leave Newcastle before the end of his contract, to join another club on much lower wages? Also, as a previous member stated he is injured more often than not, so I think your idea is a no-goer mate.

Don't worry, trust in Big Nige, you can bet he already has irons in the fire.

Look at his record this season. He knew before we did that Mark Davies wouldn't be staying at City. So what did he do? He went and captured Tom Cleverley before we lost Davies.

Goalkeeping crisis, what crisis? Before you could blink, he had brought in another quality keeper, not once but 3 times!

Big Nige is Top Man, so just trust him to find the right players. End of lecture!!!

Hmm, another injury prone Antipodean? No thanks.

But one astute person wondered at the weekend whether Alan Smith may venture here on loan.

He'd get a friendly reception from the Leeds fans if they go up.

The rumour has been printed in the Daily Mirror so it's unlikely to be true. However, if it is true, I think he'd be a pretty decent signing. He's had a pretty good season for MK Dons and played well against us. Not too sure if he could make the step up to the Championship though.

Astute? The guy could barely walk!! I would take what he says with a pinch of salt.

He was walking fine - it wasn't his fault someone kept moving the furniture all morning.

Best player on the park by quite a way when we drew 2v2 with them at there place.

Be a great addition to the squad.

He was probably playing down the Walkers when we beat MK 2-0, I didn't notice him but i've heard hes a decent player.

Its just whether he could make the step up from League One.
