Dan Posted 5 May 2009 Author Posted 5 May 2009 Whats the stats? 29 goals each, Cox 22 and Lambert 27 (approx guesses, can't see them being more than a year out), but Lambert would be cheaper.
Webbo Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Cox could possibly be the better long term choice but I think Lambert would be a better fit in our side.
Guest Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 IF they don't go up. And IF no big teams come in for him why not BEckford? I know he'd cost a fair bit but surely a worthy investment?
Stevosevic Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Have we even been linked with Lambert? Surely there isn't much of a debate if we haven't.
davieG Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 They're two entirely different strikers I wouldn't pick one over the other
purpleronnie Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 I was just going to reply to a thread that I thought these 2 would be good signings...weird. To me cox would shade it but wouldnt mind either..or both!
scinnell Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Lambert because we could use him as back up for howard because Lambert is good in the air.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 hmmmm Seems my Cox comment was deleted. I only said I love Cox. Great player.
Dan Posted 5 May 2009 Author Posted 5 May 2009 Have we even been linked with Lambert? Surely there isn't much of a debate if we haven't. But people have posted threads about him, they are both goal scorers so see who's the more popular choice. Cox but i bet we will sign neither. Sadly I have to agree They're two entirely different strikers I wouldn't pick one over the other Then the point is to pick which one you would have out of the two.

Well it would depend on what gap I'd need to fill and as I don't know what the rest of the team will be I can't chose. As far as I can see we need back up for both our strikers - these two could probably do that so in those circumstances I still can't chose.

Well true but i'd have to say Cox due to his age, I think the pair could make a fantastic partnership together.
Flynny Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 If we keep DJ (unlikely), then Lambert. We need two strikers, Cox and Lambert would be perfect. If we only get one, who'd be best is entirely dependant on who else we've signed.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 I doubt we would consider signing the pair. Only one of them. Cox in my opinion is better than Lambert. Both good strikers at League One level as is Fryatt, Championship is a different matter. I fancy Cox over the 3 of them to be honest.
Ozwin Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 We probably won't sign either. Our scouts will pick out some gem from Uruguay or something.
