Cox and N'Guessan

And constantly refreshing in hope of a golden post from knowitall or something.

If only I was telepathic. I'd love to spend a few hours wandering around Knowitall's brain!

Why can't Mandaric just stay the fuck out of the press. It is Pearson who should be expressing his interest in Cox, not Mandaric.

They should both say nothing to the media until the transfer is 100% to be honest!

It doesn't help at all, does it?

Alerts other teams to our interest and that if they're interested themselves they should start making offers.

N'Guessan 90% deal done.

Cox 80% deal done.

Unless the players have a hugh change of heart or they fail the fitness test. I expect both to sign in days.

It's probably been said before, but, know It All, are you the Stig?

he was talking about the clubs interest not his own personal

From today's Mockery

Lincoln City chief executive Dave Roberts says Leicester City are confident of luring Dany N'Guessan to the Walkers Stadium.

The French ace has been in talks with City after rejecting a third and final contract offer to stay at Sincil Bank.

Roberts said: "We made Dany a third good offer to keep him at the club.

"We made the best offer we could, but Dany has rejected that offer and we have given him permission to talk to other clubs.

"He is in talks with Leicester, who seem pretty confident about signing him.

"If he agrees terms, it will be down to the two clubs to agree a fee."

I know everyone seems confident, but for some reason I still think Cox is unlikely. I'll believe when he's wearing a beautiful blue Joma shirt! If Celtic are interested, you would've thought that would be appealing, unless he doesn't like the cold... at least we know then that Dyer will never transfer to Celtic!

If I was a young player wanting to be seen by Premiership managers (which Cox does, he'll see us as a stepping stone unless we make big progress next year) I'd rather be playing in the Championship than the SPL, even for Celtic.

He's not going to be a starter at Celtic, either.

Exactly, and considering he's previously stated he won't be going somewhere to sit on the bench we can hopefully rule them out. I'm just hoping that something hasn't occured since knowitall's post yesterday, although I can't imagine he'd post something without being sure.

True. The Scottish league is practically like playing in League 1 - except for the big 2. I mean, Weslowski is a City reserve, and he gets into the Dundee team who is near the top of the division! I think Cox wants to play in Premiership, and he probably feels Leicester have a chance of promotion, and he's probably been assured he'll be a big part of the team at Leicester. I mean, if Leicester got promoted, and he was a prolific scorer for them, he'd be in contention for an England call-up - in the same way Kevin Davies is (but he has to sign properly first!).

As a swindon fan I obviously hope cox stays with us, but if he does go i'd rather him go to you guys. Celtic would be a bad choice he wouldn't get in the squad. If he does join you I can see you doing well with him he is a brilliant player and hope he can cut it at championship level. 3 hatricks and 4 braces in a team fighting relegation, just think what could do for a decent team! Anyway good luck next season and good luck in your bid to sign cox.

Oh and one more thing little bird tells me the swindon board won't accept anything less than £10m

It was announced on the 14th May 2009 that Simon Cox had made the swap to Leicester for £1.9 million, after an initial bid was rejected early on the same day. Celtic were also believed to have had a bid rejected.

People rush to OS :P

Nothing on OS yet so it's not true!

Cheers, man. I worry for you guys Swindon, though. 32 goals for a struggling team, without him you would've gone down - and he's going to be hard to replace. Don't suppose you'd like to take a striker called Paul Dickov off our hands?

What is he like as a player? I've never really watched him play, but have watched some of his goals, and he is a great finisher. Scored a brilliant chip last season, and a crazy volley from 25-yards - and of course the goal of the season versus Wallsall!

£1.9m is a little steep, but they must think Cox has a lot of potential (which is probably the case).

Before this 'so-called' £1.9m deal, Nigel Pearson's biggest transfers were Tunchev at around £360,000 and Nicky Adams at £100,000!

Proper spending!

Reading got a 40% sell on clause so I think Swindon are trying to milk every penny out of us.

TBH you can't even trust the OS though, They wrote false stuff about the shirt and a few years ago they made a fuk up (About a player or signing - i'm almost certain) forgot who it was about though...

Obviously you can trust it more that Wiki though.

lol

As babylon mentioned earlier in the thread, I hope KIA is not regretting this leak as I see a certain webpage (vitalfootball) is already confirming the transfer by an internal source. Really hope this doesn't jeoperdise anything.
