Cox and N'Guessan

If knowitall says it was 80% done then that surely means an offer has been accepted and just personal terms/fitness tests need to be sorted? The media could be a little behind on this one hopefully....

Could be that they've sorted all the personal terms, but are just a little bit off in the agreed price; maybe just add on's etc to be sorted

Let's bear in mind that it's not so easy to tie up players in the summer, bids flying in all over the place and clubs resorting to aggressive tactics to sometimes go as far as physically keeping other players from talking to other parties. The deals could well be as far as 90% complete and still not go through. Let's not count our chickens, nor berate KIA if the deals fall through.

This would be abit of a let down if it doesn't happen. The BBC report is kind of contradictory to East Midlands Today and Knowitall though. In Knowitall I Trust :)

Why would he wait for a month? :dunno:

I'm not sure but im guessing its when his contract will end and he will be able to sign a deal with a new club?

So the Celtic rumour was true :dunno:

Maybe Knowitalls wrong, please don't be :fc:

Didn't KIA say Cox had been to the training ground ? If so I presume he has been given permission to talk to us which suggests a fee has been agreed between the clubs. I guess the deal is only 80% likely because although he's been impressed with what he's seen Cox is waiting to see if there are any last minute offers which are too good to turn down

I think Cox would be a good signing but i think Richie Lambert would be better. Scored an equal amount of goals as Cox but maybe a better cover for Howard because of his height and strength. Or then again we could sign him aswell. Wouldnt be a bad front 4 with Cox/Fryatt/Howard/Lambert well over 100 goals between them at league 1

Contracts usually run until July...but I'm sure Cox's contract still has another year left on it, otherwise we wouldn't be having to pay a transfer fee...

This was on Friday 8th May- http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...own/8040244.stm

5th paragraph down, the BBC states that- 'As yet Wilson has not received any offers from clubs, although a host of scouts are reported to have watched Cox in action this season.'

Today, the BBC AND Skysports have both stated that Swindon have rejected two bids, from us and Celtic. If we're gonna get him, we need to wrap this up quick, because playing at Celtic Park infront of 60,000 or so every other week, in the Champions League, is an attractive offer.

I think we should we really go for him, he's only 22 and he's only gonna get better.

Just incase you wanted to know alittle more about him; http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/page/NewsDe...1655572,00.html

He's into Rap and hip-hop you know. Got a feeling he'll get on better with Max Gradel than N'guessan will...

N'Guessan 90% deal done.

Cox 80% deal done.

Unless the players have a hugh change of heart or they fail the fitness test. I expect both to sign in days.

From this I would figure that all N'Guessan has to do is a fitness test and Cox has to agree terms plus do a fitness test.

Knowitall would not post unless he was sure of his facts, he's not let us down to date, and I see no reason why he would do now.

Swindon reject two bids for Cox

Cox still has one year left on his Swindon contract

Swindon Town have turned down two bids for top scorer Simon Cox since the end of the season.

One of the offers was from Leicester City, and it is thought the other club could be Scottish champions Celtic.

So we haven't bid enough obviously! If Celtic are getting involved though we might lose out...

except it says

since the end of the season
which means that we could have also reoffered and had it accepted

It does sometimes make me wonder how someone can see a story that big that's like a day old and think that it hasn't already been posted on here.
