flanimal Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 It'd be gutting if he ends up scoring 20 goals and gets QPR promoted. He's bound to score against us next season, so we need to start working on a performance destroying chant NOW! Oh, and boo him whenever he gets the ball, obviously.

flanimal Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 A chant about offsides. Just something all round offensive. Anything that makes him play as shit for them as he did for us.
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 In terms of match performance in comparison with transfer fee paid, he is surely up there with Akinbiyi. As for where he goes, you can guarantee next season he will score against us. Guarantee it.
maddog Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 He will score 12 goals in there next season at the very least. They will be goals we deseperately need. Although we must have another striker or 2 already lined up or NP wouldn't sell.

Although we must have another striker or 2 already lined up or NP wouldn't sell. Why will he score 12 goals at least next season? Nobody knows what is going to happen and especially with someone as inconsistent as DJ Campbell. Just because he did ok at Blackpool for 20 games doesn't mean he'll definitely hit the ground running next season. NP may have a striker or two lined up but the main reason he's going which some people still amazingly can't seem to grasp is the fact he hates it at Leicester and would rather be anywhere else.

Because he's a pacy striker and 12 goals isn't even that many. NP will have two strikers lined up unless he's gone a little bit mental, theres no way he will leave us with Fryatt/Howard/Dickov/plus one strikeforce.
phillip j fry Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 just curious, but were all his goals for blackpool from open play?
StanSP Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 just curious, but were all his goals for blackpool from open play? Most of them were.

We are looking at strikers, Cox for example. Pearson is making moves, and Campbell wants to GO, so let him.
flanimal Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 The crew will have alternatives for each type of player they sign, more strikers will come, and a mentally retarded orang utan will do better on the pitch for us than a player that openly stated he hates the club.
AmericanScott Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 A chant about offsides. Everytime he gets the ball we could shout "OFFSIDE" then boo. Also, he will score against us. I will be placing some dolla on that happening.
DanTheFox07 Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 probably one of the worst signings made by leicester in my opinion, I wonder if it was Mandaric or Allen who wanted to sign him? anyway all i will say is promised a lot, only real attribute he owned was pace, offside virtually all the time and in the end showed a poor attitude to the rest of the team the season we got relgated and he wouldnt travel on the coach when asked by holloway, good ridance!!!
Fox92 Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 Glad he is going, be nice to get something in the region of £500,000 + because we are not going to get back the price that we paid for him. If we can get another striker or two in, then it should be a good move to sell him. DJ, go away.

I didn't know that. I don't very often boo/jeer our ex players, might make an exception for him if we meet next year.
fantastic_mr_fox Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 Mind you I wouldn't want to travel on a coach with Holloway too...
Thracian Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 Get rid of DJ Campbell, I mean what's he done for us except he got us relagated into League One. We've got back into The Championship, I vote get rid off him. You should stick to EBay selling. DJ is a handful for any defence and it is just a shame that we've never used him properly and that our obsession with playing Fryatt has meant that he's never really been given a proper chance at Leicester. Yes, I know Fryatt scored a bag full of goals to help earn us promotion from Division One but Campbell has shown he can score Championship goals in an ordinary side and I have serious doubts that Fryatt will do that. I might be wrong. Pearson will presumably surround Fryatt with far better providers than he had under Kelly, Holloway etc. so I do expect some improvement but he doesn't have Campbell's pace and elusiveness so why our fans are so keen to see the back of him I've no idea. It's no argument to say he doesn't want to play for us either. Anyone would be unhappy if they were perpetually overlooked as has been the case with Campbell. His reaction is perfectly natural. That he'll go is a certainly and I hope we get the money the bloke is worth which is considerable. Ironic though that we need to use it on someone fast and elusive. Because our current front two - effective as they've been this season - are hardly the fastest.

If that is true he won't be going to Blackpool then.
