stevie909 Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 mehhh. the quality doesnt look that great imo. plus i hate the loros logo, and the way it's been outlined.
davieG Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Well the whole concept of LOROS on the 'away' shirt leaves me flummoxed, it's a local charity whose profile needs to be raised locally, I really cannot see the point of it on the away shirt where it will be seen by more or less the same 2.5k travelling fans plus lots of away fans who will have no interest in it. If LOROS was the overwhelming choice, and I've no problem with that it should have been on the home shirt. As for the actual shirt there's just too much going on for it to make the right sort of impact. Good luck with it though and I really hope that LOROS do benefit from it.
AyewJoking Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 I think its nice. Cant really moan about either of our strips this season. Hope I get one for my birthday.
Munzie Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 It's good to see Lilian Nalis back at the club, taking time out to wear our new kit and visit his old mate James Wesolowski.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Nice enough though the home shirt is still far nicer. Be popular with the younger fans though.
Ricey Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 I like it that we have gone for the 1884 design again, but for me there is just too much going on with the design...it's very crowded. Would of been much better if the badge wasn't in the middle and some of the blue trim was got rid of. Not a horrible shirt though.
Fosse Boy Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Would be great - if we were Coventry CitySeeing that colour blue on a Leicester City player is simply a disgrace Also looks like it's been designed by a five year old Oh get over yourself. We had a sky blue sash on our shirt about eighty years before Chaventry started using it as one of their main colours. While we're at it, why don't we get rid of all white trim from our home shirts? I think it's a bloody disgrace that we continue to use it even though it's Derby's main colour. Not a horrible shirt though. Agree with all of this.
Bryn Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 I don't think it's well pulled off personally. I like the design of the shirt, I like the badge, I like the sponsor image. But together I don't think they work too well.
billyfox1 Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 will you still be able to get season ticket discount if you buy it from a LOROS shop?
Jonezy Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 I think it looks great, and that similar looking away shirt, we had a few years back is still one of my favorites. I still wear mine quite often (and it has Scowcroft written on the back!!). Only problem is, that it gets too busy in the middle. Wish they had moved the Joma logo and the badge out to the side, but hell can't have it all, and the trim is nice too. Yep, call me a fan.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Glad we've gone with a charity but I don't like the shirt at all, especially in comparison with the home shirt.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Third picture down - no wonder DJ came back early for pre-season training...
MC Prussian Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Hmm... They could've done better. All in all, this Joma kit thing for the upcoming season resembles the 03/04 campaign way too closely (if not somewhat hauntingly close). Were they just simply running out of ideas or time or what? Is there going to be a third kit, preferrably with a certain colour RED to it?

Not a horrible shirt though. Agreed. I think that's what makes the home shirt so nice this season, lots of space without a sponsor and no other design aspects really intruding on the front of the shirt.
Craig Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Would look better without the blue trim on the sleeves and at the bottom.
Guest Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 I think the design looks wrong, like it's just been thrown together by an amateur. It could have been quite a nice shirt, with some thought put into it.
Pricey Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Not complaining as it is for a good cause, but picture it without the Loros on it, looks alot nicer. Less busy. Still not bad though.
