Automatic Promotion [ 1 ] [1.64%]

Playoffs [ 3 ] [4.92%]

7-10 [ 8 ] [13.11%]

11-14 [ 20 ] [32.79%]

15-18 [ 21 ] [34.43%]

19-21 [ 8 ] [13.11%]

Looks like Milan voted for automatic promotion (3 year plan) :D 10-13 will be the lowest for me, voted 11-14. 14th would be fine if we can see clear signs of definate improvement for the following season.

I am not thinking about relegation, although I am not that confident with the squad either so I suppose 15 - 18 would be fine with me.

We can't do worser than Doncaster, Barnsley and S****horpe surely.

We're not going back to disrespecting teams are we?

What makes us better than Doncaster, Barnsley and Scunthorpe? Because we are "the mighty Leicester City?" The whole reason why we did so crap year after year in the Championship we being we disrespected teams both the players and fans connected with Leicester. Last season we treated teams with respect and realised they weren't just going to roll over for us.

To be fair Fox92 has called it correctly on Barnsley. They weren't much kop last season (despite beating us twice) and have a smaller, weaker squad this year. I suspect if you don't finish above them, you'll be in the bottom three. Donny are a different kettle of fish. Even without Wellens they'll continue to knock the ball around in a pleasing fashion. They are lacking up front and consequently won't threaten the play offs but they should have enough for a mid-table finish.

Scunny? You lot will know more about them as I've not seen them for a couple of years (barring the JPT Final)

I'd be really disappoited if we finished lower than 14th. It'd be virtually no better than what we've "achieved" ever since we were relegated from the Premiership, and I really don't want another season of failure. Mid-table would suit me nicely for starters, anything else is a bonus.

7-10 but we have to be aiming for the playoffs.

Teams have done it before, Bristol City did it, Swansea nearly did it.

The first season back there may be our best chance of a promotion, or we may get stuck in another 4 years of shit and id rather see us win the League One title than crap seasons over and over in the Championship.

We must make the top 6.

This season, I want us to stay up, which if we sign a half decent striker I think we will do. Our main problem when we got relegated last time was a lack of goals. We're a lot more stable now and that should stand us in good stead.

I think we'll finish 12th-15th, but will be happy to just stay up and push on next year.

I agree with this.

As long as we stay up is fine with me, then we can push on next year, but I'm still expecting around a mid table finish.

13th-15th ish, but not if there's a 10 points gap between us and a pack developing. I'd like to be able to convince myself we could still push for the playoffs for a large part of the season whilst also mathematically securing safety with at least 2 games to go, preferably more. 55-60 points?

We should be aiming for 7-10, there is no doubt of that in my mind. This time last season, people were saying they'd be happy with a playoff run in league 1. Seems to me the same people now would be happy with something around 15.

Why aim so low?

We all know the difference between being successful and not so in this league is miniscule. The reason we went down the season before last was because we lacked ambition going forward. We need to start taking it to teams, rather than playing for draws, going to Plymouth for example, and winning, none of this defensive malarky.

We have the personnel to take it to teams, so why not have a really good go at it and see where we end up with it?

I think playoffs is a tall order but to finish outside these positions, just, is achieveable. Definately.

Have we got the bottle to take it to teams? That's what it's about.

We may be League 1 champions, but we need to show what the new LCFC is all about. Have a real go at teams, surprise teams, attack these teams - 'boss' games - we'll have it sorted.

7-10 I'll be happy.

I'll take 21st please

I don't think we will be relegated this year, and the continuity within the team and they way we played last season was highly encouraging.

However, if the worst comes to the worst, and we turn out not to have the season I expect, this is the one season I would accept a relagation struggle, and survival on the last day.

We cant be spending years struggling down in the bottom echelons of a division, we really can't.

I voted 11-14. but think we could do a little better with a new striker.

We are going to be solid, we will be alot more balanced this time around, got a good mix of youth and experience.

The last time we were in the championship we struggled due to a lack of goals, but this wasn't just due to sttikers.

Didn't help that we has an idiot that played right backs in midfield, strikers out he wings and then when we needed to win a final game played a centre back and a striker in centre mid.

I don't think it should be underestimated how well pearson did last season, he has a good head on is shoulders and a good team with him. Listening to him, he keeps saying we want another successful season so he sounds like he is aiming high.

I am not disrespecting teams, ecspecially Barnsley, Doncaster and S****horpe as they are some of the closest clubs to me and I always like to see these three teams doing well but I was stating that if we don't finish above these, ecspecially Barnsley and S****horpe as Doncaster play some lovely flowing football, then we will most probably be in the bottom three and to be honest I don't think that is disrespecting.

Surely is we cannot say who we should be finishing above, whats the point in this thread and many others?

I voted 15-18 but then changed my mind straight away and would have gone for 11-14.

Mid table would make me happy, anything lower that's not relegation and I'd be relatively content. Anything higher and I'd be over the moon.

I'm sure our striking options will be strengthened either before the start of the season or at some point during it. I think our defence looks solid (including goalkeeper) and our midfield has some creativity and some tenacity.

For our first season in the Championship for far too long when we actually have some positivity and stability going in to it it's all about consolidating and then pushing onwards - mid table would be the ideal way to start that process.

Good Post :)

I think we'll finish between top half and play offs, maybe in the play offs.

As long as we dont get relegated or get embaressed week in week out i dont really care.

Over the years ive become numb to the pain of supporting leicester

haha!! I second that!

But anywhere just outside play-offs or mid-table would make me very happy.

To be fair, if Burnley can do it, why can't we make the play-offs? I don't think our squad is there yet. It'll be interesting to see what signings we make, if any, in the next few weeks.

We have stability for the first time in, well, forever it seems. I won't get carried away because as it's been pointed out time and time again, anyone can beat anyone in the Championship and if you win three games you're sniffing around the play-offs but if you lose three games you're nervously looking over your shoulder at the relegation zone.

I would be very happy with a top 12 finish, anything but another bloody relegation battle.
