Tactics?

After storming to a 3-0 lead inside the first half hour, I was under the cosh for the rest of the match. I had opted to start with a 4-1-3-2 formation with three central midfielders and an anchor man, instead of my usual 4-3-3 with a central playmaker and three strikers.

I got Leicester promoted first season with 75 points and winning play off final against Newcastle. Got hammered in Prem though, only finished with 26 points. Milan kept me on and i led us back winning the league and also getting into semi final of FA CUP somehow. I am now in the Prem and after 22 games i have 28 points sitting pretty in 12th place.

What leagues/countries do people load on FM? I just use All English leagues then the top 2 divisions from Spain then all Scottish leagues. Any other suggestions?

won first game of the prem season at home to bolton 1-0 last minute penalty

destroyed by man u 5-0

Beat Watford 2-0

leaves me 5th after 3 games while Chelsea + Liverpool are yet to pick up a point, Man City have only won one ( opening day v man u) and man U have only won the one. Behind Arsenal by 3 points and West Brom, Tottenham, Fulham on GD.

Is FM10 better than 09 cos I've still not bought FM10?

I had the demo but didn't try it for long. It's mainly because I'd done that much work on the 09 Data Editor I didn't want to lose it all. My games up to date with the leagues and everything but I'm thinking of getting the new one now if it is definitely better.

bit of an obvious thing but fm10 is better if youre winning, on previous ones you could put it down to a blip and move on next game, try something different but it takes ages to find a good tactic and style of play that its incredibly annoying when you start losing. i started with wba and i was going 2-0 down in first 5 mins to plymouth and peteborough and just wondering wtf is going on, you try and change it and it gets worse. i think this years fm is very harsh, you make a mistake and it will punish and keep bloody doing it. Basically its not subtle, if you have a player out of position it wont show you getting ripped endlessly down that side for example, you will go and concede in the first minute. but when your winning and you have those tactics its very good, i mean very good! so it just depends if youre a casual gamer or you will put more into it....?

At last I can talk about it!

Football Manager Handheld 2011 coming to iPhone and iPod Touch

This game has been my baby over the last few months, having co-designed the UI and having full control on the games presentation.

Very much looking forward to seeing what feedback it gets, reviews have been good so far.

Does it compare well to the handheld psp versions? and can it be downloaded on the first generation ipod touch? It wont let you download some games on the first generation ipods due to features in the game i think

Fantastic news!

£6.99, not bad. Any idea when it'll pop up in the App store?

Reviews are looking good, i'm glad because iPhone is a perfect platform for a game like this.

Looks like a cross between FM and oldschool CM 97/98 :D

That was the idea, a cross between FM and FMH with the old CM2-style big button navigation.
