Bugg Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Mifsud is quality on this game if you're a league 1 side. Edit - As soon as I said that, he's decided to be shite.

shen Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Righto got a new a Laptop recently and decided to "buy" Football manger any decent signings for Leicester with a budget of 2 million? Nope, none whatsoever... Just what position do you need to strengthen?
Narborough_fox Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 I got Gilbert on loan so i'm happy with my defence, signed Paynter for 50k now happy with strikers. Really midfield I'd like a playmaker tried Ambrose and Adam both snubbed me, so I can't think who to get now, and possibly left mifield. Any help for midfield?

Muamba on loan from Bolton Finished 5th in my second season with Napoli. Champions League; lost the quarter final away leg at Valencia 2-0, beat them at home 4-1, 90th minute winner . Beat Juve in the semi's (5-1 on agg) and Atletico in the final 4-2 (Neymar hat-trick) loved it. Signed Veloso for 26m and Adler for 6.5m
Ozwin Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Kakuta is amazing on the left wing. Sarki is great for the right wing and can play RB and DM too so he's a great squad player. Clint Hill from Palace is dirt cheap and a decent backup for Hobbs and Tunchev.

If not will try your players Ozwin.

Try getting a parent club, that way you can easily get loan players for free from that club. In midfield King and Wellens will be fine in the Championship, but if you need other options/strength in depth, you can get players like Hemdani, Ronnie O'Brien (excellent for me!) and Richard Hughes (contract expires after half a season) on free while Matic, Eikrem, Possebon and Tachtsidis are all very decent youngsters available on loan. I also bought Van Der Leegte for around 200k as he was excellent for me at NAC, and as you lack a decent captain with Leicester at the start, well.... I didn't play with wingers eventually, but Kopteff is another free and decent backup option for the left wing. Good luck with it
Narborough_fox Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Thanks for all your help have succesfully signed Whittingham but had to fork out 1.5 million. Hopefully a few loan deals. By the way Kakuta is banned until January so I'll get him then.
Bugg Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Get them on loan, you wont buy them. I loaned Kakuta with Southampton, then bought him for £2million (sold him for £7.5million) so you can manage to buy him.
NGoloMode Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 In the Championship Viduka for free is a great deal. Then 2nd year get Saha on a free if your still in the championship.
lcfc_jme Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 Away from home just at the minute I'm doing the worst I've ever done on this game. Played 12, won 4, drawn 5, lost 3. It's embarrassing. Though a 100% home record makes me feel slightly better.

If you go 2-0 up, slow the tempo, use short passing and go defensive... Take one of your strikers off for a DM and play with AML/R to support the striker?
Liamlcfc1 Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Thanks for the help beat them 1-0 Wayne Brown header off Andy King free kick BTW Nicky Adams is great on FM 2010.
Ashley Posted 15 June 2010 Posted 15 June 2010 I just brought the handheld version for the psp, why isnt Martyn Waghorn on the Leicester squad neither in the Sunderland squad? Is there some kind of editor for this same as the pc version so i can add him?

Fox You Forest Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 If you go 2-0 up, slow the tempo, use short passing and go defensive... Take one of your strikers off for a DM and play with AML/R to support the striker? Absolute sin in my eyes, go for the jugular. Attack, attack, attack.
DB11 Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Absolute sin in my eyes, go for the jugular. Attack, attack, attack. Doesn't work on FM though
The Doctor Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Absolute sin in my eyes, go for the jugular. Attack, attack, attack. too right. Yank off a defender and stick another foward/attacking midfielder on there or better yet go with an insanely attacking formation to start with: 3-2-3-2 - have the centre backs pushing into midfield, the "sitting midfielders pushing foward and the attacking midfielders playing effectively as strikers.
Pst Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Absolute sin in my eyes, go for the jugular. Attack, attack, attack. Yeah I agree if it was older FM's, in this one that doesn't seem to work and the opposition always seem to score. They need to fix that for the next game actually... very rarely if you go into the break 2-0 will you comfortably win, even if you had 80% of possesion 1st half. Although that may just be me..
Liamlcfc1 Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Un beaten in 17 matches since i lost 1 nill to C******Y in 2nd place 1 point behind WBA
