The Doctor Posted 11 March 2010 Posted 11 March 2010 I might have to start a new game with Leicester, i'll be going on the editor to add James Vaughan tho and terminate Ryan Mcgiverns loan with us, would removing the debts be classed as cheating? Can't really cheat on fm short of taking charge of your opponents and playing strikers in goal, youth gks upfront etc. just add a couple of zeros onto the budgets of your favourite clubs and take a few of the clubs you dislike, thats how i got man u, mk dons, chelsea, liverpool and arsenal to go into administration and either go bust (MK, Chelsea, Man U) or get relegated to the conference (Liverpool , Arsenal).

So not really cheating, is it?

The Doctor Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 So not really cheating, is it? And that's not cheating? Depends what you determine cheating to be. IMO it's fine to make a seperate database in which some of the clubs spreadsheets have been the victim of some tinkering. What's not fine is to make the key players for the clubs you dislike a permanant cripple (e.g. adding an injury to the players in which the return date will be well past their 40th birthday)
Anorak Posted 13 March 2010 Posted 13 March 2010 Just can't get into the game this year. First time in about 5 years I havn't had a proper good game with someone on it I'm struggling as well. FM 2006 was the last one i played before i got my new desktop last week and so far i'm doing crap. Need to do some serious player/tactics homework.

If done for novelty reasons (e.g. legend databases and such) that's another matter...
GLC Posted 13 March 2010 Posted 13 March 2010 Chris Powell = Legend 42 and still playing on my Notts County game, 36 Games, 3 Goals this season so far

If done for novelty reasons (e.g. legend databases and such) that's another matter... the MK dons one was purely because i dislike them the big four on the other hand was partly because i dislike them but also i wanted to see if FM had got the support right and the moment they fell down the leagues the majority of their fans would bugger off. Amazingly not.
Ozwin Posted 13 March 2010 Posted 13 March 2010 I might do that 10 tier game, anyone got a link? I'll make myself and a few mates and see where it takes me. One more chance I'll give it.

Amazingly not. You're basing that if one of the big four got relegated "the majority of their fans would bugger off" on opinion not fact so how you you say FM got it wrong
J.Lisemore Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 Do we have debts? Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't every club in debt..?
SMX11 Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 Yes everyone has some debt, only Scunny and Burnley dont owe any money (apparently). Hopefully our debt is cut in half when/if we get promoted. Anyway my Barnsley team is excelling still top of the table 12 points clear of Bolton. Quite supprised I'm doing so well saying I have only spent about 500k in the 3rd season (after a poor second).
The Doctor Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 just had one cracker of an fa cup tie Playing man u - they went 4-0 up within the first 10 minutes, by half time it was 4-3 (Chamkah, Owen, Hernanes). Second half laid seige to the united goal - had 3 cleared off the line, hit both posts and the bar. Out though and left with just the europa league (playing besiktas (sp)) and the league to play for.
shen Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 Edin Dzeko is a beast on this game! Definitely! Derdiyok is also a beast in a similar way. He's not as good a finisher but has the extra pace and playmaker abilities.
Ozwin Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 I don't know who to start as I might start as Anderlect and see how long I can keep hold of Lukaku.
SMX11 Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Got Barnsley in the prem now it is gonna be difficult to keep them there. 10.5 mil to spend. Got Barry Bannan in for 1.8 mil and im close to signing Gabriel Tamas for 2mil. I'm looking to exploit the free transfer market as much as possible due to lack of value in the market. Any suggestions for a striker and a right back ? (4th season in)
Ozwin Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Edinson Cavani is amazing on it. Not sure you'll be able to afford him now though.
SemperEadem Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Who do you guys recomend me to get? I have just got Leicester promoted to the prem in my first season.
The Blur Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Got Ibrahimovic for 750k for Burton- albiettly he is 31 by then but 3 goals in 5 games tell a different story 2nd at the moment and won 4 of first 5 games- Only defeat was against Arsenal and they won 5 in 5 My team are Smith Rafael,S.Taylor,Zakauni,Fabio Lee Walcott,Bunnatone,Kennedy Jansen Imbrahimovic
DannyLCFC1 Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Can anyone recomend any good players to sign for burton in the first season Thanks
The Blur Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Can anyone recomend any good players to sign for burton in the first season Thanks Oooooh, in the first season I signed Vuckic on loan from Newcastle, he got me 15+ goals and try Lee and Rowe from Peterborough especially Lee, I employed him as my defensive midfielder but he can play anywhere and is very reliable- even in the premiership, he is averaging 7/10 every game. Harrad will get you the goals so you would need to worry about the midfield and the defence more. You also need to have a decent goalkeeper as Poole (?) is usless so I signed some goalkeeper on loan and got Fleming from Oldham on the second season My FM is on psp, I prefer it that way because it is quicker to play and reduce the boredom of travelling. I also didn't have any time to play FM10 which drain the system and is very time-consuming. However it may be different to the PC version so my advice may not be helpful. Anyone agree with me???
shen Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Smith Rafael,S.Taylor,Zakauni,Fabio Lee Walcott,Bunnatone,Kennedy Jansen Imbrahimovic Is that Buonanotte?
