MC Prussian Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 Who would've thought the Posh would win against Sheffield United, after they lost one of their most vital players recently to woody competition? Also, thank you Ipswich for denting Cardiff's automatic promotion hopes. I bet them Welsh will be on all four cylinders comes Saturday. I expect another Forest demolition, please. The race for the bottom three spots will be immensely tight this year.
Matt Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Cardiff given 56 days by the high court to settle their winding up order. It's 53 days till May 2nd (Last league fixture of the season).
StanSP Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Cardiff given 56 days by the high court to settle their winding up order. It's 53 days till May 2nd (Last league fixture of the season). Bit confused. Does a winding-up order mean that they chucked out the league...or just points deducted?
Matt Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Bit confused. Does a winding-up order mean that they chucked out the league...or just points deducted? I don't quite understand either, I think it means chucked out the league, finished, gone, they would have to re-start again from the bottom, not really sure though.
FoxyPV Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 A winding up order means that they will cease to exist as a business / football club
FoxyPV Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Yes then, Ipswich! I'll have a bag of the drugs this young gentleman is currently enjoying, please. I was being pre-emptive in that post however i've been telling all my mates that we'll be playing CL in two years since we ARE going up this year. ***This was posted without the use of any mind altering substances (unfortunately <_< )***

Shrenchel Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Anyone got a link to the Reading - Derby game?! Savage has gone in goal, gotta be more interesting than this Champions League bollocks.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Anyone know if Savage actually saved the penalty or was is just a clear miss?
dandannieldanok Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Straight Miss, Long put it over the bar. Ah right, funny how it can have an adverse affect on the striker, like Fryatt against Windass last season.
StanSP Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Did Savage concede any? Surprised to see that scoreline to be honest. Well, surprised to see the margin at which Reading won by.
Asha Posted 10 March 2010 Posted 10 March 2010 Did Savage concede any? Surprised to see that scoreline to be honest. Well, surprised to see the margin at which Reading won by. The last two. Long also blazed a penalty over the bar with Savage in goal. Some decent saves apparently
FoxyPV Posted 11 March 2010 Posted 11 March 2010 Some decent saves apparently peach of a save from the free kick and couple of point blank saves too. He got hung to dry by the defence for the goals
Matt Posted 11 March 2010 Posted 11 March 2010 Derby County and Nottingham Forest both fined a total of £45,000 for failing to control their players at Pride Park. (Touchline scuffle.) Derby County and Nottingham Forest both fined a total of £10,000 for failing to control their players at the City Ground. (Corner flag waving inciting a scuffle.)

A winding up order is when they get taken to court over unpaid tax. They will cease to exist if HMRC isn't convinced they can pay. Administration can stave this off, because the business (in this case the football club) has appointed an independent body (the administrator) to cut costs and raise money. The thing about administration in the football sense is that it puts football creditors (other clubs that are owed money) above HMRC, which is why they're annoyed about Portsmouth going into administration. Something along those lines, anyway.
The Doctor Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Derby have signed David Martin. the keeper or that millwall midfielder?
