RedHux Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Yes but Peterborough fans also believed they were a good team and would stave off relegation this year. Some were told - ridiculously - that they'd be competing for a second successive promotion, and swallowed that hook, line and sinker. Their beliefs means nothing. If Boyd could learn to pass the ball instead of thinking he's a one-man team, he may become a good player. As it stands, he was a small fish in a minute pond. All this ^^....is probably true.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Decent signing but as has already been mentioned, Boyd isn't the player Forest desperately need to stop their season falling apart. They looked knackered at the back after we scored and that's where Davies should strengthen.

Being Peterborough's best player this season is a bit like chlamydia being the best STI. Still not that great in the grander scheme of things.
the mighty boosh Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Means we will put Cohen at left back, which he did a very good job at earlier this season. Looks a good signing. 12 goals out of 36 for the worst team in this league is no mean feat
Webbo Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Manager swap (well nearly) Paul Hart must be on minimum wage. Why else would anybody employ him as a manager?
lildave3 Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 They get compensation, no doubt paying less wages and should still have a manager capable of keeping them up. Every little helps.
Joe. Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Boyd is a superb signing for Forest, although it baffles me as to why they've let him go after what Darren MacAnthony said the other day when they rejected three loan bids for Mackail-Smith. Barry Fry last week: "The chairman is a big believer in the great escape" (or words to that effect). Ah yes, letting your best player go in order to try and avoid relegation, that old chestnut.

Fox You Forest Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 I'm yet to be convinced that Boyd, Mackail-Smith or McLean are actually any good at this level, Boyd is the better of the three but that's not saying much.
Matt Posted 2 March 2010 Posted 2 March 2010 Paul Hart must be on minimum wage. Why else would anybody employ him as a manager? I ask the question when Peter Taylor gets linked or appointed as a manager, He still manages to get jobs though, somehow.

Ipswich (6/5), Watford (15/8), Peterborough (11/5). Treble pays - £19.24/1 And if you fancy chucking Sheff Wed into that too, hoping they might help us out after beating us on Saturday an Accumulator pays a massive £160.92/1. I think Peterborough are risky to put in the treble though, so to bet Sheff Wed in that too is very risky. Sheff Wed (7/1)
Matt Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 Peterborough 1 - 0 Sheff Utd Ipswich 1 - 0 Cardiff City Watford 0 - 1 Swansea City Tbh, If I had to pick one of those three to win it'd be Swansea, aslong as Cardiff and Sheff Utd don't gain on us.
FoxyPV Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 West Brom were booed off at half time too. Fingers crossed their poor run continues and we nab the last automatic promotion place
Salieri Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 West Brom were booed off at half time too. Fingers crossed their poor run continues and we nab the last automatic promotion place Baggies 1-0 up now. At least Cardiff losing and Peterboro beating Sheff Utd, just gotta hope Watford hit back against Swansea now and be a good set of results.
Daggers Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 Yes then, Ipswich! West Brom were booed off at half time too. Fingers crossed their poor run continues and we nab the last automatic promotion place I'll have a bag of the drugs this young gentleman is currently enjoying, please.
Corky Posted 9 March 2010 Posted 9 March 2010 Decent night. Swansea winning not great but Cardiff and Sheffield United both losing helps our cause.
