Mattock Moves to WBA

I'd have more respect for him if he had admitted he'd gone for the money and then for him to make the comments about the club (he loved to play for etc) KNOB.

Oh come off it, how many players stand up and say "actually, i dont give a toss which club i'm joining, i'm just in it for the payrise"?! It just doesnt happen.

Personaly, i'm not too fussed that he's gone, and certainly can't be bothered to get all bitter and twisted about it, he was never good enough to warrant such a reaction.

Oh god, his interview on SSN was horrible to watch, says they have better players and play better football.

I feel like I've been stabbed in the back. :(

Could have at least said thanks to us for fooking making him the player he is.

Watched what he said about us/Baggies. They are a yo-yo club. Will never make an impact in the Premiership and will always be up there in the Championship.

Good luck but it's not going to be an easy ride like you think fella.

How can WBA be more of an attractive proposition than us they haven't even spent more than two season in a row in the prem ever! Anyway I don't really care just his comments were complete nonsense, its merely a side step for him if that. Berner is a better player anyway, we got a decent amount for Mattock and he won't be missed by me for sure.

You can't say he's not got bundles of potential, West Brom could bring him on alot. He's done well to be involved in the under 21's already aswell.

However, who does he think he is saying that about the club and our players, i hope brown goes straight through him and n'guessan has his pants down. He also treated our chairman and manager like idiot's. Also maybe if he stayed off the booze up town at weekends and concentrated on his club at the time, he may have progressed faster than we thought.

BRUNO BRUNO BRUNO!!

Done (and it'll probably haunt me all season  )

You sod, Moby - you correct that absent capital letter or people will be thinking I'm thick as well as nauseating.

Never rated him and think we did well if it was 2 million. Hope he gets booed everytime he touches the ball against us.

Its the fact he said he went as they play better football with better players which has annoyed me. No way is he a real City fan.

Just seen Mattocks interview on SSN!!!

What a thick little willy puller!!!! I just hope we give him so much shit when he comes to the walkers in November!!

Better Players! Better chance! What a load of bollocks! WBA the most dullest club in the football league! Cant ever make it in Prem they have had at least 3 attempts!! fooking break a leg u c*cky little C**t

I'd love to see people's reaction on here if he improves considerably at WBA and becomes a regular for the Under 21s.

'Learnt his trade at City....'

'Made him what he is....'

lol

Well, on the basis of everyone in this thread saying he's 'shit, will never fulfill his potential, blah blah blah', you'd have to say that if he did make the improvement necessary (not saying it will happen) to play more often at any international level, then WBA would be responsible for it.

The boy just isnt very good.

The adulation he received was based on the Preston game about 2 years ago, where Nils scored that last minute goal. He was shit the season before last in the Championship, and more worryingly he was torn apart week in week out by League One players last season.

He is a left back - if he was the same standard as what e is at left back, in any other position, he wouldnt be ANYWHERE near the England U21's.

Believed his own hype, ans is a thick little tosser, look at the state of him, never judge a book by its cover but he looks what he is, a cocky little arrogant thug. And not a very good footballer to boot. I'd have took 500k, 1 mil's a bonus. Theres a reason he's gone for that amount (cheap compared to figures bandied about a few months ago) - because hes crap.

For Di Matteo, its a signing based on potential, not ability, a huge gamble.

Thanks Roberto!

I didn't like his interview on Sky. He really looked like a smug cunt and had no good words to say about Leicester. He kept going on about how they got better players, play better football etc. It may be true, but you don't go and disrespect your former club like that - especially not a club you're a fan of and where you were born.

I still hope he does well for them.

Soooooo he never played for the under 21 when at city

Leicester didn't give him the chance to play for a championship team ?

Why the fook you sticking up for him ? Are you just a really really nice person ?

Yeh fair shout , id say more chance of him playing for Friar Lane in 5 seasons than being a England international

Thank fook for the premium price that comes with buying English players. If he was a young Frenchman that came through the ranks instead of an Englishman, nobody would even have noticed him, let alone spend more than a £million on him. He was average at best but because he was a local kid people thought he was a world beater. Look back at the goals we've conceded over the last 2 seasons - a disproportionate number came from the left side when Mattock was playing left back.

I'd bet that West Brom fans won't be too impressed by him come the end of the season.

What's the likelihood that Stearman had some kind of influence, even a little one on Mattock's move??

Mattock mentioned to BBC WM that he wants to emulate Stearman, so do you think Mattock spoke to him before he made his decision?

I know for a fact that Mattock and Stearman are good friends.

Their girlfriends grew up together like sisters, (I know them both).

Don't care if anyone helped influence it in any way though, The way he has conducted himself as a "Lifelong Leicester City fan" is absolutely disgusting. He's an egotistical, disrespectful little**** who didn't deserve to ever pull on a city shirt.

In a Kevin Keegan tone "I would LOVE it if West Brom finished below us, LOVE it!!"

"Are you watching Joe Mattock?" would be my favourite chant.

Bit insane, would love to sing 'Should of stayed at Leicester'.
