Can I ask someone by what stretch of the imagination WBA AREN'T a bigger club? (Mainly aimed at FIF but he's probably not the only one thinking it).

Better history - a League title and 5 FA Cups

Better recent history - Have been in the Premier League, and have retained Premier League status within the last 5 years.

More money - Parachute payments

More likely to go up

We've perhaps got a bigger cachement area but their attendances are unlikely to be drastically less than ours once the season is well underway.

I don't want to be gloomy but I really dislike bias, it's incredibly ignorant to belittle West Brom as a club in my opinion. Especially as it's not them being tossers, it's Mattock for the timing of his decision and the lack of grace to us as the club that reared him.

WBA have not won a trophy for forty years, play in a cramped refurbished breakers yard and are coached by a midget who has just failed to take into The Championship an adequately resourced club. In recent seasons WBA have been unable to establish themselves in The Premier League and last year won the Judy Garland award for the most naive football ever seen in that division.

The real difference between WBA and LCFC is EXPECTATIONS. Or to put it more accurately FALSE EXPECTATIONS, generated in part by second rate media types.

I tell you most solemnly that The Throstles will still be on their Championship perch come the end of the season.

WBA and us are on par with each other. If I had to chose one, I'd say WBA are the bigger club. I'm with Burnham, I hate bias, and moreso I don't understand what WBA have done to us. They're a good club with good fans and I wish them well.

How many of this years team will you expect to see in a city shirt next year if we were to be promoted?

Im guessing we would throw 85% of the side away without so much as a "by your leave" :)

Im disapointed that we cant see the value in a home grown talent (and U21 rep) to keep him with us. However, if NP isnt perturbed by him going, then neither am i.

Explain this then if West Brom are supposedely bigger than us, why did they only have 23,500 for a game against Newcastle.

Newcastle fans would have taken up at least 3,000 of this. We had over 26,000 against Swansea and Swansea took 3000 fans. On fan base alone we are the bigger club.

I have nothing against West Brom or Joe Mattock but to me he only moved for an increase in Wages, which we couldn't match.

It is highly debatable if West Brom are a bigger Club.

How is what you have said there suggesting that WBA are a bigger club? Going by your logic that would make teams like Blackpool bigger than us. Absolute bollocks. I don't care if people think it is arrogance we are a bigger club with a bigger fan base than them FACT! Are Leeds smaller than them because of what has happened over the last 5 years? Have a word with yourself. :angry:

Definately very overrated. He got done continuously by League 1 wingers with pace. He will to get done this season by championship wingers and doesn't stand a chance in the prem if WBA get promoted.

I've dropped larger and more impressive turds than Blackpool's stadium, and they haven't made any impact on British football in goodness knows how long. There's a difference, you know well there is, between Blackpool and West Brom, which I can qualify (reread my post and ask yourself how many of those attributes Blackpool have. One at a push?).

Leeds are a much bigger club than both us and WBA, their league status doesn't quite change that, it's a different scenario again.

To be fair he's been slagged off since day one on here and a young lad like that is going to have friends who come on forums and see what people are saying.

He was probably playing on International, not looking forward to prospect of coming back and being boo'd by the Leicester public (I still remember the abuse he was getting at Hereford away - disgusting to treat your own players like that).

Hope all works out for him.

So he went because of what some fans said on forums?? lol lol Dont kid yourself, he went for the money.

I was at Hereford away stood at the front row and didnt hear him get a load of abuse? Anyway he put in a transfer request BEFORE last season. :)

At the end of the day, I can't blame him for moving to West Brom who will be challenging for promotion.

I'm happy to see him go though, I prefer Berner anyway. Mattock is an overrated (by himself mainly) twat.

Yeah, this sums it up for me. He was a twat about the way he went about it too.

I met him at Oldham away last season as the club got off of the bus, and he was back after injury or near enough I think.

Nice lad to talk to, polite, good footballer.

She was tiny and blonde but orange.... average would be my assessment - fairly attractive but nothing special :)

EDIT: this was a while ago... he could have a new one by now of course lol
