davieG Posted 10 August 2009 Author Posted 10 August 2009 Obviously it's so that Mandaric's 'cut' doesn't have to be made public. ** this is a joke please don't sue for the love of god aaaaaaaaa Please don't bring God into it!
woznotwos Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Definately not gonna be wishing him well on his departure !! hope he warms the subs bench all season and dissappears into obscurity!!
Flynny Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Please don't bring God into it! ALRIGHT BRIDGE BOY PIPE DOWN YOU RACIST.
dave_the_fox Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 £1 million is been said, i hope we got a little more for him than that.I know he's overrated but £1 million is quite cheap, we paid more for Dj I've heard more than that, with 20% sell on clause
davieG Posted 10 August 2009 Author Posted 10 August 2009 ALRIGHT BRIDGE BOY PIPE DOWN YOU RACIST. Sieg Heil !
Fox92 Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Cannot see why that is a good move to be honest. If he was going to the likes of West Ham, Tottenham, Everton, Wigan etc then I can see but to move to a club that are in the same division is not that good move. I don't even think West Brom have got a strong enough side and cannot see why everyone see's them as the best team in the division, never mind Mattock moving there! Good luck to him anyway, he was a good lad and a nice, strong left back that I liked dearly. Saturday morning I was wondering about our current left backs but having seen a great performance from Berner, I am happy for Joe to leave if he wants to. Nigel (and me) don't want any player at the club that doesn't want to be here so... Wouldn't it be funny if West Brom stayed down and we were promoted.
Shrenchel Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 I've heard more than that, with 20% sell on clause Some West Brom fans saying just over a million initially with a few add-ons.
Lisburn Fox Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Never really rated the lad to tell the truth others obviously do so I will take theirs and NP's word for it. I think he would have been our first choice but he will not be WBA's. Won't be missed. I agree with the Berner, Lewington, Powell left beck combination.
Munzie Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 He's now West Brom's problem. Loads of potential a few years ago that never surfaced. I've a feeling that he'll fustrate the hell out of the baggies fans. He's gone there with 'loads of experience' and his England U21 caps. Anybody who hasn't seen him play week in week out will feel they've got the deal of the century, if the rumoured 1.5m fee is true. The truth is, he hasn't improved over the last two or so seasons. Whether he was 100% committed or not in League 1 (given his transfer request last year), he was way to error prone. Berner & Powell are more than adequate to cover the left spot. Given Berner's performace on Saturday, he'd get the nod over Joe on a regular basis. I think this is a good bit of business as another poor season from him would have meant a drop in his price tag. It's no wonder that the Premiership clubs that were sniffing around him last year have moved on to brighter and better players.

Hed have gone for nowt barring compo? Good deal whatever we got for him based on that and his lack of interest all last season. Goodbye and good riddance
skinnydipper Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Dyer ignoring the incoming corner to kiss Bruno's boots. Couldn't see such respect being shown to Mattock
gloucesterfox Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Wouldn't it be funny if West Brom stayed down and we were promoted. Sorry if it's already been mentioned but it happened to another left back, Dennis Rofe went to Chelsea where both in the old second division as he thought they had a better chance of going up, they didn't and we did!

Applying that logic, moving from Wigan to Man Utd was a bad move for Antonio Valencia..
MPH Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 Only one word to say about that.Bruno Berner! thats two words....
Bryn Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 All this writing off of West Brom is making us all look fucking stupid Clearly one of the strongest sides and biggest clubs in the division. As for Mattock though, a reasonable move if he's playing first team football, he wouldn't get into our team Berner is a better player as Chris Powell was last season. He'll make it to the Prem though, it's not exactly uncommon for a young player to lose focus, especially when they want a move. I expect him to be a good player for West Brom but I doubt he'll ever be an England regular.
Mikey Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 West Brom are going to be in for a shock, from Paul Robinson to Mattock.

Budweiser Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 He's on sky right now. "Much better football?" Well, Mattock couldn't get in here, so why would he get in at WBA who play "much better football"?
marbelladave Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 thats two words.... Are you sure? Damn, let me try again. Chris Powell.
