True that, I looked at it from our goalkeepers point of view she was exceptional.

She was brilliant. Apparently does tons of homework on the oppo. Made a brilliant penalty stroke save during the match too.

Being able to move gives her an edge over a football goalkeeper I'd imagine. Football penalties are heavily stacked in the takers favour imo.

The Mens boxing here is being terribly Reffed. The American is going into hold the Cuban and only when they both let go the Ref goes in and tell them no holding, add to that hes allowed the American to hold the Cubans glove under his arm as he used the other one to go for the kidney/liver thats held open.

I'm confused here.  Bianca knocked out current Olympic champion in the quarters and she is world champion champion?

surely they both dead certs for a medal though?

Brazil 1-0 Germany so far in the football finals. Neymara scored a lovely free-kick. Germany have hit the bar 3 times though. 35 mins played.

Mo Mo Mo Farah

Running round the track

If he wins another gold

Make sure you clap

I have just made that up and it's genius, if you disagree I'll come round your house and do a poo on your floor.

So we've passed the total number of medals we won in 2012, and we're only two golds behind (with a chance of a boxing one later). And we've also met or exceeded the medal target in every sport except modern pentathlon and strangely enough rowing. Brilliant games for GB.

But obviously because we weren't medal for medal, day by day, matching London then we were doing badly (even though the schedule varies so you'll never match or beat it exactly.) And obviously because some competitors weren't leading from the front in events they were meant to and eventually did win, we were also doing badly. That's right isn't it @Grewks? lol

Can't believe the stuff Grewks was saying and it was something like only two days in, yet at that point we were above what we were doing in London.

The fact remains, i was correct though.....

Giles Scott was a 'deadcert' with a poor start - correct.

You were complaining he wasn't performing before he was even halfway through his event lol

I don't think you even know what you think you're right about lol

Are China expected to win any of the last events today?

Atm if they do win one we'd stay 2nd with more silvers.

From what I've read they're not, hopefully a gold in the boxing would pretty much guarantee us 2nd.

Just looked at what is left and it seems not, we have a good chance of a gold in boxing and guaranteed silver at least there

Theyve got chances of medals ain't they I don't think they are "expected" to win a gold but if you've got athletes in and around you never know.

True, Team GB are an example of that.

If we win that gold later they will need three though and given there are only 12 on offer today that will probably be that.
