There is a reason the World bodies in the pro ranks don't get there judges from the Seychelles and Sri Lanka I'm convinced these decisions are to do with countries not having much boxing experience always giving the call to the come forward fighter in the same way the guy in the pub always thinks he's winning, every single robbery you see at Olympics are against the back foot technicians.
StanSP Posted 17 August 2016 Author Posted 17 August 2016 Olympics Boxing officials have been sent home

I'm guessing they have a few standing start races so this is something different. The riders have to discipline themselves not to pass the bike and then they have to jostle for the best position when the bike leave the track. @Grewks, GB already passed their medal target. Just saying. Correct they have..no idea why you're telling me though.

The pro boxing system needs a overhaul, so its no surprise that amateur judges are struggling. When you see world title fights and one guy gives the decision by 6 rounds, and another scores it a draw, it's a case of scoring who you like, not 'what you like'.
GaelicFox Posted 17 August 2016 Posted 17 August 2016 Mick Conlan has beat that Russian to a pulp he has to withdraw from fighting tomorrow because his face is a mess !! WhAt a joke of a competion ! I suspect Putin has recalled him to Russia
Carl the Llama Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 I have no idea how the points system works in the wrestling.
Carl the Llama Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 Legitimately looks like they're making it up as they go along.

Webbo Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 Can't see the point of sprinters easing up on the line in qualification. If you can run 200m in 19 seconds how much energy are you saving running it in 20 seconds?

Nick Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 These American swimmers who are being re-questioned after being prevented from leaving the country due their armed gunpoint robbery stories not holding consistency is a little awkward......
Finnegan Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 Now Ellen DeGeneres is apparently racist for wanting a piggyback off Usain Bolt ****ing hell. To paraphrase Moose, I'm pretty sure implying Ellen D is being racist is probably more racist than Ellen D's tweet. You've got to have a pretty warped mind to make that leap. I normally like the BBC website and their magazine articles, you get some interesting stuff on there for lunch break reading. But they've really scraped the barrel lately.

Finnegan Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 Wow, the French and Russians are getting pretty salty about Team GB. Even the Aussies, claiming we're "punching above our weight." Surely for a developed country the size of the UK, with the sporting pedigree we have, you'd have to say we spent the best part of twenty years punching drastically below our weight?

Webbo Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 We're winning because all our athletes are full time professionals with the best sports science back up that money can buy. When I was a kid in the 70s that was the Soviet bloc countries doing the same and we all called them cheats for it. I can sort of understand where the other countries are coming from with their moaning but tbh as long as we're winning I don't care.

You want a piggyback off a black person - Depicting of slavery etc... You give a piggyback to a black person - Black person unable to 'stand on own two feet, need assistance from white person' etc. You refuse to take part in any kind of piggyback activity with a black person - It's because you don't like black people. I remember a black lad, with his sister, once came up to me and accused me of being a racist in a bar because i 'pushed in front of him'. Well....he didn't react well when i told him 'How could I be racist, if i'd give your sister one'?

It's a fact. We were and you were wrong. Yes, it's a remarkable achievement the success we have had since, and i never predicted against that success (See post about Giles Scott being a 'deatcert' etc.)

Yeah about two medals out of about 80 we could seriously go through you utter pleb there was absolute no reason to complain at all that's the point and that's why you're wrong

You claiming 'facts' about how we were not expecting higher medal tallies in the first few days were wrong. There's a graph on the BBC website explaining how early on we were behind both Beijing and London totals, fact. We know this is born out of anger with you from the whole Nugent debate, where i completely mugged you off.

The Aussies , they call us whingers but is another nation on earth more whiny than the aussies?, the worlds worst losers at it again.
