You've then go on to tell us what a wonderful player Shinji Okazaki is and how we should should admire his contribution of 5 goals last term in a premeir league winning side, yet when it was Nugent scoring 5 goals in a struggling side with less game time "he's obviously shit doesn't score enough goals"  as I say you are the master of contradicting yourself. Nugent is getting on and has never been a player you want starting every week in a Premeir League team looking at the top half but he was a great servant for this club scored over 50 goals for the club and left, at the right time, with most fans thanks, except you, because your an idiot . 

 

My destain towards you has nothing to do with Nugent and everything to do with that utter farce on that Shrewsbury town forum where you made yourself the club and this board look ridiculous, literally one of the most embarrasing things I've ever seen on the internet and that is some statement.

For what it's worth Team GB have chosen sports to focus on that show good results when considerable amounts of science and incremental improvements are applied to them (rowing, cycling et al) rather than ones where a fair amount of luck or more variables are involved and it's clearly paying off.

If you ever watched our side play with and without Nugent and Okazaki...you will realise the loss of one greatly enhances our side, whilst the loss of another, greatly damages the side.

 

Every game we have played without Shinji we've looked hopeless up top with no-one capable of playing his position....Since Nugent left, well, we've replaced him with someone capable and won the league.

It isn't like we've 'come out of nowhere' like these foreign athletes are suggesting.

 

We dominated track cycling at London, and actually have less medals on the road in Rio than we did in London.

Ok that is so off topic and changing the subject but I'm getting used to this as you clearly like to dive between arguements in order to avoid facing up to the fact you're wrong. 

 

The fact that you think the whole change in our side is down to David Nugent leaving is, quite frankly, just staggering. And sort of demonstrates what a vendetta you have against him. 

 

Oh and BTW oh great run of form and turn around started well before Okazaki arrived and when Nugent was playing, our improvements up front have helped but the fixing on the fundamental problems is what changed the side.

 

In any case, Okazaki is clearly younger, fitter, more suited to the role in question and all round better footballer but i don't think anyone has ever argued that fact. Stick to the subject,  you said he wasn't good enough for the Championship, nearly 100 goals and two promotions say otherwise.

 

Now I'd drop the subject if I were you as this is the Olympics thread and you're derailing it into something else in failed attempt to try and score points, and such things get people banned, and I'd really hate to see you banned I need a good chuckle at your self delusion and stupidity once in awhile.

Of course it is. We're trying to win, so we can laud in that feeling of superiority. That's what competitive international sport is all about, and it's what all the other countries are trying to do too. And it's also why some of them are bitching and moaning about it.

 

Olympic sport is an extension of nationalism/patriotism, and as I said it's one of the most harmless ones so fair enough.

Do you remember when they beat us in the league cup? Isn't wrestling one of the most rubbish sports? Even when watching women roll around of the floor it doesn't interest me. The scoring seems odd, and the ref seems to blow the whistle for no reason.
