acooling08 Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 People seem to have no memory at all. He was brilliant for us about 10 years ago, he is almost what I'd call a legend. He only joined Derby because no one else wanted him, he needed a team. I'm embarrassed by the dumbass scum-fans who shouted willy puller at him whenever he went near the ball. Remember this? Show some respect ffs.
Alexikokopops Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Maybe it's because when he was playing for Birmingham against us he purposely kissed the Brum badge in front of the Leicester fans with no other intention then to wind them up, which was a bit of a cockish thing to do really.
Bert Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Did you see what he did at the end of the match? Bowed down to the Derby fans!
NewquayFox Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Savage was never a great player in my opinion, always booting players and then diving or fiegning injury to get them booked. The worst was when he ran 30 yards towards the Ref waving an imaginary card when we played Brum to get Elliot sent off, i know Elliot deserved it but you dont want an ex (average) player doing that. Oh and i also think he is a complete KNOB !!! I booed him and i was playing golf in Cornwall. ;0)
frenzal Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 I'm embarrassed by the dumbass scum-fans who shouted willy puller at him whenever he went near the ball. Just a bit OTT perhaps He's a pantomime villain who's come back playing for a local rival. No need to get sensitive over a bit of booing at a football game, Savage definitely won't. The guy loves it.
Bert Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 If you're talking about scum fans, we need to look at ourselves. Some morons were chanting "He's fat, he's round, he's six feet under ground, Brain Clough, Brain Clough" Tuwaaats.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 It's one of those bizarre unwritten rules of football isn't it? A player can be the biggest willy puller in the world but as long as he's OUR willy puller it's fine. As soon as he becomes someone else's willy puller, WE MUST ALL GO MENTAL
Legend_in_blue Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 It wasn't malicious boo-ing, it was all a bit of light-hearted banter. This type of behaviour has become the norm with Savage anyway and in a dull local derby with little action on the field, people needed to take out their frustrations on someone. Who better than Savage? Nothing meant by it, and he loved it.
Ozwin Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Did you see what he did at the end of the match? Bowed down to the Derby fans! Behaviour like that is why he's a willy puller. Absolute bellend.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 If you're talking about scum fans, we need to look at ourselves. Some morons were chanting "He's fat, he's round, he's six feet under ground, Brain Clough, Brain Clough"Tuwaaats. Class
davieG Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Well I'm sick to death hearing about him, every report in the paper or on the telly has been Savage this, Savage that, we were playing Derby not Savage. He's an attention seeker so will have loved the booing and will probably add to his earnings as a result of it. I'm just glad the game against Derby Savage has passed.
Craig Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Remember this? Show some respect ffs. If he'd showed respect to us last time he visited, i'd have shown him some respect today. But he didn't, so i didn't.
Jimmy Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 If you're talking about scum fans, we need to look at ourselves. Some morons were chanting "He's fat, he's round, he's six feet under ground, Brain Clough, Brain Clough"Tuwaaats. thankfully it must of just been a few tards as half way down L1 I never heard that
samlcfc Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 It's only football banter. Nothing more to it really. It's just a laugh and he's an easy target for it. He loves it anyway and probably thrives off it more than anything
LCFC-ARAB Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 If you're talking about scum fans, we need to look at ourselves. Some morons were chanting "He's fat, he's round, he's six feet under ground, Brain Clough, Brain Clough"Tuwaaats. i fooking hate that chant, it's disgusting Class and you sir are a grade A minge
Karljohn Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Savage is, was and always has been a very ordinary footballer who makes up for his lack of skill with enthusiasm and work rate, he is the epitome of disloyalty and has dropped himself in the shit on many occasions (the move to blackburn to be nearer relatives was the best!) Heard quite a few comments that an ex city forward around at the same time as savage was quoted as saying the rest of the lads thought he was a willy puller during his time at Filbo. He's the sort of player who will bow to Derby fans and sign for Forest tomorrow. Give me Neil Lennon (ex forest), Muzzy Izzet (ex blues) and Gary Parker (ex villa) everytime over the tosser!
dandannieldanok Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 He barely got booed at all, he said he wanted a reaction and he didn't get one. I don't think anyone really could be bothered to boo him.
Ozwin Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 He was getting 'Robbie Savage, what a willy puller' chants all game. And they were pretty loud from where I was sitting
Budweiser Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 If you're talking about scum fans, we need to look at ourselves. Some morons were chanting "He's fat, he's round, he's six feet under ground, Brain Clough, Brain Clough"Tuwaaats. Savage is an absolute twat, everyone has already said why.
clazkel Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Maybe it's because when he was playing for Birmingham against us he purposely kissed the Brum badge in front of the Leicester fans with no other intention then to wind them up, which was a bit of a cockish thing to do really. Yeah and he made some really harsh challenges aswell that game, and im sure he got a decent reception from the leicester fans at the beginning of the Brum game
Fox92 Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Disgraceful if people were singing that Brian Clough song, truly disgusting. Nobody should sing any songs like this at any match, ecspecially when his son is the manager of the opposite side. Disgraceful. If this is true and you were one of those people then how can you sleep at night? And that reply 'Class' is shocking. Respect comes into mind. Brian Clough is the greatest manager of all time. And it's not just that its respect all round for people like this. Why do we have to sing the stupid songs if this is true including the 'who the f******l are you?' which is so stupid. Anyway, I clapped Savage. Don't understand why he got booed this much, people behind me and my dad were shouting abuse left, right and centre. I like the man, always will do.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 I didnt boo but he did ask dor it. He said on the radio and TV he wanted to be then at the beginning of the match he went to Derby fans and claped them just to wind the City fans up.
