Although Wellens is fairly strong and gets stuck in he isn't defensive minded. I've often thought this season we could do with a 'Lennon' type player who wins the ball, tidys up and controls the game.

Maybe he feels he has to get others to cover more defensively due to us not having a naturally defensive midfielder. Thus signing a defensive midfielder to free the others up. One can always hope...

My only concern now, at the age of 36, is whether he could still maintain that kind of attitude on a football pitch. Nevertheless I still want this to happen.

Having said that, we could have Edgar Davids playing for us, one of the most iconic players in recent years! Get him in! Maybe this was the route to raising funds as mentioned by Mandarin?
