Budweiser Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Absolutely chuffed to bits What a way to kick start the weekend. Great 90 minute from the lads in my opinion, closing down constantly throughout the game. Well earned and DESERVED win! Delighted that we are 2nd in the league and let it carry on. Well in City, good travelling support it looked like I really have nothing bad to say about the game.
MikeyT Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Utterly brilliant performance. Every player was fantastic tonight. Top stuff. Well done to Nige and the players!
RGFox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Fabulous performance by the whole team. Midfield put the tackles in and played some decent stuff. Defence very solid, we looked very assured this evening. Fryatt and Waghorn a constant menace. Well deserved win after Monday's performance against promotion challengers. Probably one of our best performances on sky, 2 away wins in 5 days. well done the lads! Also, much respect to the City fans who went, could hear them well in voice and looks like they were all standing, always better. Well chuffed. RG
Flynny Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Dad just rang me shouting saying we played like it was an FA Cup final - good analysis I thought. Bastard pub I was in turned the game off at half time so I had to stream the last 30 minutes - but a resolute performance, loving it.
AoWW Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Fantastic result - so pleased for Pearson and the team. The travelling fans were in good voice, too.
MC Prussian Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 It's been a long time since I've been THAT proud of watching Leicester City Football club. A different class. Without Howard, Pearson did indeed apply a system that worked against one of the more feared opponents in this league. The entire team was convincing for once. Of course, there were a few glitches here and there. But man, N'Guessan did some work on his forward play. Neilson and Berner didn't let QPR come through the sides ONCE. Brown and Hobbs in the centre MASSIVE, winning almost ANYTHING. Weale - class. The saves the pulled off tonight - magnificient. Oakley, King and Wellens running the midfield. Maybe Oakley did disappoint me a little - again. Mediocre passing and then that yellow. Waghorn and Fryatt - outstanding. Fryatt not just because of his two goals - he obviously cherished the chance of making up for his more recent misses and looked very sharp, way sharper than against Reading. Waggy gave the central defence a couple of really good runs. Who needs an Edgar Davids when you got a team THIS GOOD? This was the best advertisement this club could get at all. Convincing from start to finish, everyone was present for all 95 minutes of play. THAT's what I call a TEAM EFFORT. We've seen a couple of future internationals tonight (why do you think Capello was at Loftus Road??? ) - and they weren't playing for the Rangers. For a team that played its second consecutive game within five days, we've done exceptionally well. Bring on West Brom! Joe Who???
mitchofox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Some people said we would get hammered by the free flowing mighty QPR.Some said the Reading win was a rubbish lucky win and we cant play football. Some people had better shut it for a while and start getting abit positive Pearson still a god???? I think so........... Well Done City....Given us back some pride after years of being a laughing stock....and no more stupid signing rumours!!!! well played lads well done to N P
Matt Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Great performance, I though QPR would score at the end then, very happy, I'd have been happy with a draw so ecstatic with the 3 points! Neilson's had his best performance, Still made mistakes but was by far his best performance, Can't really pick a MOTM cos they were all great. Just wish we could play like that all the time, Not only that most of us saw QPR were quality last week, granted it was v Derby, but they are still a quality (In the Championship) team, and we outplayed them. WE ARE (joint) TOP OF THE LEAGUE, SAY WE ARE (joint) TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
Milky Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Sensational performance. Fight, discipline, effort, organisation, quality, the list is endless. So proud of that.
Corky Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 What a fabulous performance, thoroughly deserved win. Played football, kept going even at 2-1 up, defended superbly. Brown was immense, Berner on the whole controlled Routledge, N'Guessan and Waghorn were great outlets and Weale again made some vital saves. Massive win, well done to Everyone
StanSP Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 All those arrogant QPR fans can shove that up their arses!!!
FilboFox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 I just like staring at my signature... what a start we've had to this division... one of the toughest it's been at this level for a long time!

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Great performance, great result and very much deserved. Robbie Neilson, 2 good games from him in the space of 5 days. I may be wrong about him after all. Chris Weale was awesome again tonight. Superb! :scarf:
Trumpet Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Fantastic. We definitely wanted it. Impressed with Wellens (again) tonight. Wanted every ball and made sure he won every ball.
Pst Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Best we've played this season perhaps, what a great team performance. Our defence is outstanding... we look such a well balanced team.
Ozwin Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Haha, Weale sounds like a right berk, I think that kick to the head knocked a screw lose
WardyisPukka Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Such a massive 3 points , solid display from defence and midfield , wellens and king ran our midfield , Come on Citeh , 3 wins 3 is a real possibility
StanSP Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 And we'll definitely be in play-offs by the end of the weekend! Life is Good.
