Chairman of the Bored Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Rocking all over the world?Simply the best? Er, nope. Wasn't a Cure song either. Are you watching Robert Smith!
Pst Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Steady on!! this is fast becoming an overreaction of epic proportions! Haha, not the best this decade but one of the best.
Bluefoxtim Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Superb performance. N'Guessan was awesome - his recent lay off seems to have done him the world of good. (Well done NP) Defence were fantastic!
maddog Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Say what you like about Sky but thanks to them something special has been shared with LCFC fans all over the world tonight. Imagine if we played like that, it weren't on TV, we never would have believed fans at the game that we played like Barcelona crossed with Stoke. Epic absolutely epic.
Daggers Posted 30 October 2009 Author Posted 30 October 2009 And how many people shat a brick at the prospect of him being substituted?
Thracian Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Steady on!! this is fast becoming an overreaction of epic proportions! Quite agree. This is not the time to be castigating Howard even if it was justified. Howard didn't play today and this result was all about those who were picked. In fact I'm starting to think that Pearson has learned from the past and is starting to use his squad more fully and according to specific circumstances which is encouraging. Even despite his goalless season so far, Howard has made his contributions. That's not to say I haven't been crying out for us to introduce more pace and that I wasn't absolutely delighted to see the results. But football success is all about teamwork and I am quite sure Howard will continue to make important contributions. What was really clear though is that we do have a team now in the widest sense - a sensible number of players who are genuine candidates for selection, an all-for-one/one for all spirit and people with individual attributes to go alongside the basic requirements of working hard, working responsibly and working accurately. Many's the time Howard has taken so much weight for us. Now, pleased to say, he's got assistance in all directions and people who can offer something different too.
Daggers Posted 30 October 2009 Author Posted 30 October 2009 we played like Barcelona crossed with Stoke. You have spent seventeen minutes thinking that one up just in hope someone puts it into a sig.
EmLeee Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 And how many people shat a brick at the prospect of him being substituted? Had me worried for sure! He's been one of the most consistantly good keepers we've had for a while
maddog Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 You have spent seventeen minutes thinking that one up just in hope someone puts it into a sig. No it actually took me a few seconds, i wasn't thinking about any Sig EDIT: O you put it in your sig, i get it now
James. Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Just got in. That was insane. Crazy. Massive. Ridiculous. One of the best performances and one of the best nights at the football I've been involved in for a long time. Literally don't know what else to say. Berner - brilliant. Brown - brilliant. Hobbs - brilliant. Wellens - brilliant. The whole fucking lot. COME ON LEICESTER.
Pst Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 And how many people shat a brick at the prospect of him being substituted? I tell you what, for a minute i did
Corky Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 And how many people shat a brick at the prospect of him being substituted? Me definitely.
MC Prussian Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 And how many people shat a brick at the prospect of him being substituted? With such a brilliant team display, even Conrad Logan could've prevented the hot bricks from falling.
kingston_fox Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Solid performance with a touch of class at times. Thought we rode our luck a bit for about 15/20mins in the first half but thanks to some tough defending we got through it and left them frustrated whilst taking our chances. A proper team effort and everyone can take credit tonight on a fantastic performance. What was pleasing was the way we defended in numbers and then moved forward at pace. We seemed to have 2 more players than them on the pitch and the closing down was top notch and emphasised the fitness and determination to make up for Monday. Hopefully we can build on this and take it to our next game!
Super_horns Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Well done guys. Seen both games this week and whilst luck was on your side Monday (something all good teams need!) you totally deserved the win tonight. Created the better chances and defended very well. Keep up the good work and we'll try to do you a favour tomorrow against West Brom.
maddog Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Leicester are back, Leicester are back, whohhhhhhhhhh whohhhhhhhh!
Stevosevic Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 WOW! First time in a long time i have liked every player we have out on the pitch, we've got a proper team now, Pearson will get us to the Premiership in the next two seasons,i have no doubt about that.
marbelladave Posted 30 October 2009 Posted 30 October 2009 Just Got in. Completely gutted! Absolute rubbish, so disappointed, don't know where to begin. Family circumstances determined that despite having a ticket for tonights game I had to be elsewhere, No game, no Sky TV, no radio, not even a fooking internet connection! Got home a few minutes ago to discover we played out of our skins and beat the form team of the division, I am so pleased and so pissed off I don't know which way to turn. Fook it I'm going to bed. Tell Maddog I shall have words with him later.....
