A wide variety of Wayne Brown chants. :D

Indeed.

He looked mortified with that late equaliser when he came over at the end, decent showing from the 'boxer' too today

Very, very disappointed that we've drawn today, though I would definitely say that S****horpe were well worth the point. We should have killed the game in the first 20 minutes, S****horpe were there for the taking early on today and we didn't capitalise. Murphy made two phenomenal saves but we still should have added to our lead.

I felt that after half-time, we offered next to nothing and got pulled apart with worrying ease / frequency by a very mediocre side. Gallagher was absolutely awful and served literally as much purpose as what Mattock served at times last season. The game was crying out for us to have width and support the rare voyages into their half, but our midfield sat way too deep and we didn't have anything like the required width. We dominated the first I'd agree, but after half-time it appeared we'd be content with 1-0 and we eventually got what our 2nd half performance deserved.

Referee was the worst I have seen for a long, long time. Every raised arm from a S****horpe player, every complaint from a S****horpe player and everything in general was a freekick in their favour. Abysmal display from the official.

Side stand was quality, definitely the place to be an some quality bant in there.

S****horpe's home support is probably the worst I've ever seen.

I should've worn 2 pairs of socks.

A view from a S****horpe fan

First of all, we were poor for most of the game. and the reason for that is Adkins' Tactics. we aren't going to get anywhere near scoring goals if he plays four central midfielders who barely get a touch of the ball, and the only attack is down the left from our full-back who isn't exactly the fastest?

When we brought both Wingers on(Woolford and Thompson)we looked like scoring more but oh no, he takes Hayes off. so that's thump it up to Hooper and hope for the best is it now?

It's f***ing s*** and it doesn't work, but he's got nobody to say he's doing it wrong: Coaches, the Owner or Supporters. play like that and we're like a dog waiting to be put down.

Leicester should have beaten us by more than one goal. but they didn't take their chances. so they and their fans got a bit cocky, diving/throwing themselves to the floor to waste time and their fans shouting the usual crap.

So to see their faces when the equaliser went it was amusing... coming out the ground a couple of Leicester fans were moaning " why do we have to drop points to s*** teams?" well you just did duck...

To top it all, the Train i came home on was massively delayed, with the Leicester Fans on it worrying how they would get home to their Chavvy s***holes of Loughborough and Syston.

Football Karma's Great.

Very frustrated, annoyed even, with the way we conceded right at the end. Gradually went deeper and it was almost inevitable. Didn't hold on to the ball well enough either.

Started superbly, excellent goal by Waghorn, who was superb throughout, maybe could've had a another before the break (Kermo's header and Fryatt's deflected shot), but after half-time, we didn't test them enough.

We're still third, in a great position, but we're now six points off second instead of four, which is the real annoyance for me.

Decent day apart from the last minute of injury time.

Called a 1-1 draw with 25 minutes to go, livid that nobody had a live online betting account. <<

Said before I'd much rather get a win next week than one here, but to give away 2 points in the manner we did in the 2nd half is a kick in the balls. With steel toe-cap army boots.

Looking at highlights on footy show we totally dominated the entire game and should have easily won, Weale had nothing to do.

Perhaps a bit of complacency from the players, being 1-0 up so early and slightly cocky thinking they would get an easy win at off form Scunny.

Even more gutted now. Such a waste of another 2 points. Probably worse than the Watford dropped 2 points as we did go behind there.

FOOOOOOK!

Very similar to last week, mediocre performance but this time the luck was with the opposition.

That's pretty much it, we deserved 2 points, no more, from the two games and got 4. Results wise we have absolutely no complaints.

Performance was shoddy though, third in the table against relegation candidates and we managed to create just 2 decent chances plus the goal, a solo effort from Waghorn. Nowhere near good enough!

I do not understand why people are blaming the strikers, none of today's 'chances' were clear cut, virtually nothing created from our midfield.

We are still playing the ball in far too early, instead of balls lumped forward from deep we need to take our time play the ball through midfield and play balls into the strikers feet but we simply don't or can't do that.

Our formation today was a joke, some sort of desperate attempt to make the long ball work, with two men forward and two in support looking for the second ball breaking from the long ball forward.

No pace, no guile, no passing, no quality. But we are third in the league, the other 21 teams must be really, really bad!!!

Anyone watching the Football League show? That daft bint who reads the emails just said Waghorn got the goal 'for the Tigers'.

:frusty:

I saw that. I'm not happy.

I do hope some other people can also add their opinions based on only watching the highlights or listening to the radio - I always find such contributions very informative.

I really hope Pearson realises that playing Gallagher anywhere but up front is a disaster waiting to happen. His positional play on the left was shocking, he kept leaving their right winger/right back to have a free run at Berner and his defending was schoolboy. Pearson has to start playing (and sticking with) wingers - there's no point in giving the likes of Dyer/Adams/N'Guessan 10 or 20 minute cameo appearances every four of five matches and then dropping them in the stands for the likes of Yann and Gallagher (or even Waghorn).

The last 2 games have shown how unproductive this system is - we were fortunate to beat Plymouth last week as we didn't create much, and today's game was another game where we failed to break through a poor defence.

I think many watched the game on a stream, provided by the ever so lovely Babylon.

Sorry Daggers, I see what you mean now lol

Watched a stream of the game on net. After the goal I think Fryatt should've put one away, he had 2 golden chances. 1st one maybe should've passed. Subs should've come earlier, not leave it till the 84th minute. And why is Pearson playing 4 forwards on the pitch- Fryatt, Waghorn, Kermorgant, and Gallagher. We bought Gallagher for a million i think, so if we play him, play him in his correct position- up front- not in centre-mid of on the left. We've got players like Adams, Dyer, NGuessan, who play on the wings, so put them there! And was Oakley injured yday? We've got to improve alot against Forest, especially after they won 4-1, otherwise we'll get punished. But then after we've had a poor game, we've usually responded well.

Hopefully next week Pearson plays players who play the position they're told to play!

People wake up and smell the coffee!!!

Everyone on here is forgetting that S****horpes home record is pretty good. They have beaten NEWCASTLE at home for gords sake and they rarely lose at home. Technically they are the Burnley of the Championship useless away but pretty good at home.

A point away is a good result, as we all know win your home games, pick up a point on away games and that is play off places at least........Be honest folks, We are not going to get automatic promotion with WBA and NEWCASTLE in this league. They are both Prem teams and deserve to be 1st and 2nd.

We all would have taken this start at the beginning of the season. It's funny really cos a lot of you are slagging our midfield yesterday. Everytime Sky went to Peter Begrie he was sayinghow good we were mentioning, the midfield of King, Wellens being outstanding. Wayne Brown got praise for being immense in attack.

Are people watching a different game to the tv pundits?

Ok we conceded a late goal which changed the whole complexion of the game. But thats football. A point is a point away from home and from what I saw on the tv last night we dominated the whole match.

Oh Marbella Dave get a life for foooks sake............Your constant criticism of the team, tatics and general bemoaning of City really is fooking tiresome!!!!

No need to post twice.

You only saw the highlights and your comments are based on what the Sky pundits said. Some of us were actually at the game and others watched the stream - so who do you actually believe?

You're just brushing aside the fact that we've thrown away 2 points - it doesn't matter if we're still 3rd or if we won't catch Newcastle or WBA. That's not the point we're making. So what if Scunny have a good home record and have beaten Newcastle - does that mean we should go into matches and think that a loss/draw is acceptable if we are winning? No. We conceded a late goal because of poor tactics/substitutions and that's what has annoyed us.

We should have won there's no question. I'm happy with where we are in the league but that doesn't mean I can't moan about throwing away 2 points yesterday.

Why would Gallagher need to defend like a 'proper winger' (like they have existed since the 60's) when we were against a team playing a 4-2-2-2? Where is the extra man that he is being asked to track? The extra men were in deep midfield where Gallagher and Yann spent the whole day closing down and reducing them to aimless long balls and zero chances in the 90 minutes. Our defensive shape was brilliant and Yann and Gallagher were positioned perfectly for the opposition. Just because we didn't play some deluded vision of the timeless 442 doesn't mean that there was poor positional play going on.

The problem yesterday is that we spent the second half knocking aimless long balls, made all the more inevitable by putting Howard and Danny on and subsequently kept zero possession. If we are going to play a narrow formation with technically sound footballers with excellent passing ability then we should play to our strengths, on the occasions we do we look a really good side.

Should have been all over first half, but we couldn't convert chances into goals. Pearson got it horribly wrong playing Gallagher on the left, he kept going awol leaving Berner exposed. Sloppy finish to the game, two points lost in my eyes. The atmosphere from the fans behind the goal was shit, with all the noise coming off the side. Looking forward to forest now.

This.

I think the tactics we played from the start were wrong, They looked vulnerable down the wings and should have played N'Guessan and Dyher from the start or at least brought one on the hour.

Want to see Oakley playing against Forest with proper wingers too.

Not really bothered to read the first few pages of the thread, because it's no doubt full of people moaning that didn't go to the game.

If it wasn't for Joe Murphy the game would've been out of reach at half time. The save from Kermorgant's header was something else, and the double save from Fryatt was class too. Not once did we really look in danger. But we didn't look exactly clinical either. I think we were just trying that little bit too much yesterday.

I thought their goal took a deflection and even though they came more into the game in the 2nd half, I don't really think we deserved to lose.

People moaning about a last minute goal, just think about Barnsley for a minute. With the season fast approcahing half way, our biggest test will be next week, against a team that have slowly crept up the table and are bang in form.

I wouldn't be surprised if we play a 4-5-1.

The pitch was a very narrow one yesterday, the area between the corner and the edge of the penalty area was little more than 10 yds wingers would have had little room to manoeuvre that's why Yann & Gally were played narrow with the emphasis of playing the ball over and through their defensive line.

This worked perfectly ok in the first half, in the second the midfield fell back too far forcing the lobs to come from our back four thus making them speculative hoofs and bypassing the four midfielders. We lost the game because we took our foot of the peddle and handed them the initiative that's why they had so much possession, mostly in midfield in the second half.

When they took their goal-kick that led to their goal we had 8 players camped on the edge of our penalty area which allowed them unimpeded progress all the way up the pitch, we didn't even attempt to slow them down.

With so many bodies in the box you're almost bound to end up with a scramble and a lottery, which in this case they won it.

There was a live stream online, the link for which was kindly posted on here in several places, meaning those who didn't go still got to see the entire game.

What has Barnsley got to do with us? Are you saying we should suspend our disappointment because another team had something worse happen to them?

Some mistakes were made yesterday. There is a difference between critical analysis of a game and moaning and it helps to recognise errors when they are made so that they can be avoided in the future.

i agree with the first two paragraphs, and posted the exact same observation - they have/had the 4th best home record in the league....

as far as beagrie's comments - the midfield were very good defensively, but woeful coming forward, trying little more than speculative through balls from the halfway line, gallagher (in the first half) was the only one coming forward.

brown was not immense in attack, but he actually played some balls better than wellens and king did, he had little influence on the set peices as practically every corner went straight to the keeper
