These last minute goals, Somethings never change, its beyond bad its almost becoming weird.

It wasn't bad last week.

Should have seen the game out but didn't.

Oh well, 2 points dropped, but we're still 3rd. (I know it could, and should, be looking better)

Bring on Forest.

1 shot on target for city in the entire match tells the whole story.

Their keeper made 2 saves.

We got one against Plymouth. We were on the receiving end today. It evens itself up.

Forest won 4-1 and are going into our game next week full of confidence. <_<

damn referee. added a bit of fergie time on at the end there. still 1 shot on target for city in the entire match tells the whole story.

You mean other than than the goal, fryatts shot that was saved, kermits header and several others.

Where are you getting that from?

I'm sure there was more than 1 shot on target.

The goal, Kermorgant header, Kermorgants shot and Fryatts shot off are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head.

Still not really good enough against a team like S****horpe though.

I've got no complaints about the amount of time added on. It's the awful defending that resulted in the goal that I have a problem with. Hobbs had no composure when the ball was underneath him. If he'd have thought about it for a second, he would have knocked it a yard to his side and let one of his team mates put it in the stands.

The late subs were a bit suspect too. N'Guessan gave the ball away several times, just when we needed someone to slow things down and keep hold of it. The last thing you want at that time is N'Guessan trying to skin 4 players.

That was shit. I'd feel grim as fuck if I had travelled to Scunny, paid for ticket/travel/food and had to endure that in the cold.

Much better performance needed next week and as Jack said in the other thread, the substitutions were wrong and were made at the wrong time.

presumably last week's last minute goal wasn't beyond bad? 93rd minute, 3rd minute, 46th minute, it makes no difference.

Scunny were bound to get a lucky break some time. We're third, comfortably, and the best is still to come from our team. I'd have taken a draw, and refuse to be despondent.

Rubbish, we tried to defend a 1-0 lead for 90 minutes. If we play like that at forest next week then we'll get hammered.

Bit harsh really, I know they are pros but it ain't easy to be composed sat in the box with 10 people charging at you in the last minute. He did what we all would have done and get what he could on it.

I suppose it swings in roundabouts. Last minute winner against Plymouth last week, last minute equalizer against us this week. <_<

Didn't finish the game off. We were looking like doing so with some good efforts at the end of the first half but second half we just looked happy to sit on the 1-0 lead.

Not going to get too carried with this as it's not the end of the wrold and we are still sitting nicely in the league but we are definitely lacking that attacking flair. What we are is a good solid unit, that is all.

Still frustrating as those two points could be so crucial come the end of the season.

Definitely two points thrown away so carelessly.

But then again, not being able to score against a shocking team like Sc'unthorpe for more than 80 minutes says it all.

We need more striking options. Or a secret new training mode for Fryatt, Waghorn & Co. in order to improve their skills-with-a-ball-in-front-of-an-opposing-goal.

Still 3rd.

But for how much longer...?

Forest away could be quite the wake-up call.

I think he meant 1 shot on target for S****horpe. Clearly the half time team talk from Scunny was to start kicking people, because in the first half we were cruising. Second half scrappy, much more physical. Thought Yann had a cracking game, so dominant in the air, and unlucky not to score with that header, or that half volley from Neilson's cross.

That ref though ..... I don't think my keyboard can produce enough asterisks to cover up the language his performance inspires.

I'm pretty sure we had shots on target and tried to get forward after we scored.

Bit unfair to slate Hobbs so harshly. The ball was stuck in between his legs and he has a scunny player behind him trying to get at it. Wasn't exactly easy for him to 'pass' it anywhere, was probably hard enough just to get it out from under his legs

Yes Nigels suspect idea of subsitutions came to the fore today. No need to use any today. Why does he always insist on making subs?.

Some games don't need them, todays was one of them.

Stop sucking Steveie Howards dick Nige....

or, fired up by today's disappointment and a stern talking to by our Nige, we might beat them, and all will be well in our blue universe

Well inherently yes as I am talking about a past event, but you could dismiss every post-match report/review/summary/analysis as hindsight on that logic. It is common sense that if you are on the floor with the ball underneath you, it is very unlikely you will be able to execute a satisfactory clearance. It goes without saying that if one of your team mates is standing up and right next to you, he is in a better position to be able to clear the ball.
