AjcW Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Don't you call Barcelona "us" and "we", etc? I said we once after a big win that I was pretty happy about and it was picked up on by the usual suspects... Unlike when uncle albert said it and no one dared to say a thing... Can you not remember deleting several posts by myself and other lesser known members and not touching a single one of milktrays or alberts or ld3's responses no??? What a surprise
Finnegan Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Finnegan, it really disturbs me that you have a Forest player as your avatar. How could you? I said we once after a big win that I was pretty happy about and it was picked up on by the usual suspects...Unlike when uncle albert said it and no one dared to say a thing... Can you not remember deleting several posts by myself and other lesser known members and not touching a single one of milktrays or alberts or ld3's responses no??? What a surprise what? Don't start this again. Albert gets called a numpty all the time. Lofty's a bit like Milktray for me, we don't really get along but at least I respect both of them 'cos they generally can take a bit of a ripping without spitting the dummy out. Pretty sure they're both a bit younger than you, too. Albert's had some spectacular 'mares on Foxes Talk from time to time but he just dusts himself off and gets back on with it. Do you really have to act like a scalded child and throw your toys around every time you think some terrible injustice has been done on FT that's left you feeling a little bit red in the cheeks?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Rochdale and Hibs are the pair of British teams I like to see win. I don't get depressed when they lose though.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! They're having a cracking season at the minute aren't they? Would kill to see that man in a City shirt.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Melbourne Victory aswell as Leicester are the only two teams i give a toss about. I like to see Hoffeinheim winning but not that worried when they lose.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. Thou cannot support both City and United...' Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13
Samilktray Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 what? Don't start this again. Albert gets called a numpty all the time. Uncle Albert Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Enter Uncle Albert, stage left.Although, actually, not being funny - but is he actually a Leicester fan or does he just have mates here? Honest question. Hmmm it's a tough one really I do love Leicester but I prefer Liverpool and I'm being honest here, I do go to City games and I do jump up and down when Leicester score, I even shed a tear when Leicester got relegated against Stoke, I even went to the bloody game but being brought up with a Scouse father then Liverpool are the team I love. So my answer to this question is that you can support two teams, unless they are in the same league. what? Don't start this again. Albert gets called a numpty all the time. Lofty's a bit like Milktray for me, we don't really get along but at least I respect both of them 'cos they generally can take a bit of a ripping without spitting the dummy out. Thanks for that means a lot. AjcW is just a little bender who takes this site far to seriously for his own good.
C-man Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 I hope my love for Albion Rovers doesn't offend anyone.
Kilworthfox Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 You have 1 team who you truly support, but you can have teams who you like. The thing is the teams you like should not be in direct competition with each other meaning that they should be from different nations! Even if you support someone like Solihull Motors you really should not claim to support Leicester or whoever aswell. I think it is fine to like AC Milan or Valencia as they are not in competition with Leicester. One day..... I have many teams whom I like, but 1 team who I support & that can never change as supporting a team is not a choice but almost as if your team is your family, you can't change on a whim. The vast majority of people from Leicester (or anywhere except supporters from top teams places) who support top teams or big teams Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton & Villa, who then claim to support Leicester generally are glory hunters. These people IMO know little about football and have the mental weakness not too be able to handle defeat any given week. It is like it is too much to sit through Match of the day and see a few goals go in past their beloved Edwin. JOKERS! Especially the ones who have never been to watch their side, also these people tend to laugh at you when Leicester loose and then join in when we win the odd match or cup W@nkers!
davieG Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 As a teenager I supported both Leicester and Chelsea having been born half a mile from Stamford Bridge but lived in Leicester since I was 5. I used to go to Filbert St for most home matches and when visiting family in London went to watch Chelsea. This was in the early 60s and both teams had some fabulous players and more than anything I was just knocked out by their skill, when they played each other having watched Leicester more I tended to want them to win. As I got more passionate about the football I realised this could not go on and come the day I had to decide Leicester or Chelsea. That day arrived in 1965 when Leicester the current League Cup holders played Chelsea in a 2 legged final - I plumped for Leicester who went on to lose but my passion and support for Leicester grew and strengthened whilst my support for Chelsea withered away to a point where I don't even look for their results. I guess another influencing factor is that none of my family in London bar one brother in law, was even interested in football whilst I attended most of the Leicester games with my brother, his mates and my mates all Leicester fans. I've never regretted this decision.
CosbehFox Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 In some cases, it's valid. I have heard of fans who dual support a non-league side etc. and then the non-league side have took off into the Football League. Suddenly, a decision needs to be made it often goes to the higher club. I'd say whilst having plenty of soft spots through players, mates and having money riding on them (Go on Dale! - what a cracking club that is), I celebrate none of their goals as much as a Leicester goal. I probably have once actually and that was Hinckley going 3-2 up against Farsley in the Conference North Playoff Final at Burton...they weren't very far away from the Conference then. I'd have certainly watched them at a few Conference grounds.
Darkzzz_ Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Leicester are and will always be number one. nobody else gets me like they do. I could never support another English team;I don't get that really but people are entitled to do what they like. Leicester are first and that is how it should be if you're a real Leicester fan. Surely? I do however think it's fine to want other English teams to do well, my example would be United as they are the only English team I would want to do well in Europe but I would never call them "we" or "us". I obviously love watching Barcelona play; I go to Barcelona every February to watch them and have been visiting the City for almost 7 years now, so they are definitely the team I "follow". I do like many teams across Europe though.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Nothing comes close to Leicester, as previously stated I tend to hate teams rather than like others. I can never be neutral in a football match though, I always have a team i'd prefer to win. Example I prefer Arsenal and Man City over the other 'big' teams. I have a soft spot for Villa since God took over. I also like Juventus and Barcelona due to seeing them when I was younger on TV. But that's it really... I can't say I like another team to the extent of Leicester, and if I look out for results, it's because I have a friend who supports that team. England doesn't even come close to Leicester for me (well not during the season, but international summer tournaments is another story), so why another club team would I don't know.
filbertway Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 I support coalville and leicester and I can honestly say should the two teams ever face each other, I have no idea who I would support. Luckily, that situation is about as likely to arise as I am to win the lottery so it doesn't really affect me .
Samilktray Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 I follow whoever I'm playing as on Fifa each week. Currently Everton.
Asha Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 I have a soft spot for Notts County. First football game I ever went to was at Meadow Lane, went a few times since and even went once this season. I had a wheelbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrow....
Corky Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Only support Leicester, there are a couple of teams who I don't mind seeing do well but I'd never actively go and support them (i.e. buy shirts, go to matches etc).
LCFC-ARAB Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Leicester all the way but i always look out for certain results on a saturday afternoon Kettering FC United AFC Wimbledon Liverpool Celtic and will always want them to win every game
Finnegan Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 They're having a cracking season at the minute aren't they?Would kill to see that man in a City shirt. Yeah, I'm on there watching the highlights and the commentary every week, it's good to see after a few very mediocre seasons. For a team that produces such endless quality players it's sad to see them overshadowed by the Jambos of late. Would love a trip up to Leith at some point. And I can understand why Fletcher was the bigger, more obvious target for an English club but for me Deek's the more complete footballer. Absolute genius with both feet, really unrivalled technique. Scores some stunners.

Ross-Kemp Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Always be Leicester. Look out for Rangers & Afc Wimbledons results each week as well.
